I started ubering...i didn't lose my job, but old credit lines from my ended marriage that need to be paid off eat up my entire checks

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Go to the casino.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Apply for unemployment! They will not give you benefits unless you are job searching. My mom did it and found a job in a few weeks.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it true ?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

99 cents store will fix you rught up. Believe me. I know the struggle.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But you still have access to imgur so that's something

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

$0.50 more and I would have sworn that you're the Loch Ness monster

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I sure wish I had 3 money

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

At least you can still afford internet

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Message me and I'll order you a pizza

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Buy a 40oz.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't be to proud to ask for help. Repay later if it makes you feel better. Head up, nose to the grinding wheel.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

rice and beans. Apply for SNAP benefits and go to a food pantry. wishing you the best of luck

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Same boat. It's unsettling.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I have three kids and no money! Why can't I have no kids and three money?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bite the bullet and find a food pantry, buy a gallon of milk if you have to wait very long (drink a big glass before bed if u can't sleep)

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

What state you in? If you were by me I would happily send you with some food

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

While i'm sure you are working your ass off and barely making rent is no fun, you're doing it and that's amazing! good on you OP!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lost it or quit? Because you could get money if laid off.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Stop smoking. It's expensive.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Three money? Good job!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

nah, 3 dolla, not 3 money. can't even afford "5 dolla love you long time"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you can handle offal like liver, tongue etc. They are very cheap sources of protein

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

Ya that isn't cheap where im at

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh. Like a buck a pound here

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've basically lived off heart and kidney this winter.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Liver costs 3 bucks per quater pound here

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Jesus!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"very cheap"? This kind of food is quite expensive here

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Liver is around $1 a pound here in Canadia.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on regional tastes. I buy chicken liver at US$1/lb and make dog treats from it. It's just as nourishing for people, though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really! I can get a couple servings of beef liver or chicken liver for like $2.50 Canadian

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Get a job at a temp agency while you find something new

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

$3 can get you at least a month's supply of Ramen.

8 years ago | Likes 141 Dislikes 8

You can't sustain yourself off ramen. It's so bad for you. There's no nutritional value in them

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

12 pack of ramen in my area is $1.88 at aldi. For the same amount i can get 3 dozen eggs.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Rice and beans/lentils

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A pack of ramen is 30 cents. If you ate 3 a day that’s 0.90 *30 Days =$27

3 lbs baby potatoes. 1.5 cups salt. Boil for 15 minutes. Drain and let dry for 5 minutes. Trust me.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

that is a lot of salt

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

INDEED! It's how you make Salt Potatoes, but like I said trust me. The membrane of the potato doesn't allow the salt to penetrate!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

then whats the point? Salty outsides?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Been there, look for buy 1 get 2 free on 5 lbs bags of potatoes...cheap as hell and will feed you for weeks

8 years ago | Likes 203 Dislikes 3

Potatoes and milk are a complete (if boring) diet.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Cut coupons and find out which stores double them. You can get a lot of free food this way.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cheap brown rice bought in bulk. It's one of the most nutritient basic foods out there.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Beware if you eat a lot of it without fiber (veggies). Can stop you up but good.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Rice too

8 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And beans. I lived off $5 a week for a summer once.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Can't second this enough. Rice got me through some tough times, kicking my self for never thinking of potatoes though

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Don't get too dependent on potatoes. And if you do, at least eat multiple cultivars. Don't want to end up like the Irish.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 9

Whatre ye tryinta say there laddy.....

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

OP would be eating them, not growing them.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought that the Irish problem was not enough potatoes...

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yup.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the one potato they were growing rotted and died, nothing to do with just eating one sort.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It had everything to do with that. The lack of biodiversity allowed Phytophthora infestans to destroy their sole major food source.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

OP is not GROWING the potato, just eating them. If OP were into gardening as only source of food, sure. But that's not what's going on.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Where do you get that kind of deal on Potatoes?

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

The grocery store

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Spudshed

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Asking the real questions

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ALDI and smaller grocery store chains, not Walmarts and the like.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Tell me what country/city you're in and I can try to find you similar locations.. but no guarantees.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Lansing MI. We got aldis but I don't like to shop there

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You're genuinely missing out on the potato deal then 10 pounds for 3 bux average. Let me see what else I can find in your area.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Okay, found one doing a dollar for 5 pounds of russets, a place called Market Fresh, on route 99. Good pepper and meat prices too.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Go to the food bank.

8 years ago | Likes 550 Dislikes 4

Its called a grocery store, idiot

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 22

Food bank, local churches for sure helps

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You means the foods libraries?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some of the most generous I’ve seen have been Sikh gurdwaras

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Great suggestion, there's a lot of information online and available all over the world now.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Food banks usually require being enrolled in a program. Until then churches, dumpsters, and places with poor locks... what? Don't judge me

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Not in Florida they don't. Sauce: am treasurer/bookkeeper for food bank.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

All the ones I've been to enroll you there that day. Its to ensure you only get food from them in the amount they allow. Nio double dipping.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Also churches. The religious place, not the chicken joint.

8 years ago | Likes 204 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Mormon one. Go find it and tell them you are hungry. Seriously

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I thought that the chicken joint was a religious place.

Rip sean

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Im not dead, although i wish i was..

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are more likely to get help outside the chicken joint.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

churches help a lot of people

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Yeah, my dad is a pastor and his church would never let anyone walk away hungry. Even if he had to give out of his own pocket.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Dude, go to any police, fire station, church, military installation, they will all hel you

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I mean, if you exclude the fact that Christian churches donate more to the poor than any other institution in the world, I guess he's right

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Churches are the best. Generally a no judgement take what you can use atmosphere. I always donated but didnt realize how important it 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Was or is until i lost my job this year. 2/2
