I'm finally able to play WoW again.
Couldn't be happier.
I may fucking hate ActivitionBlizzard, but the game is good.
And the team behind WoW are decent folk.
I missed Azeroth.

I just can't get back into it, all the progression seems kinda mindless. The whole game just feels like a linear crawl ?

I agree. Not sure if it’s because I’m older with more responsibilities, but I just can do the grind that i once was able to. Love the game.

Its a grind-a-thon absolutely. Its a subscription mmo. These days they respect your time to a certain degree with an over arching progresion

Everything you do gives you AP with is basically a scaling XP that gives you additional levels past max. The scaling is real time based.

There is basically a target level for AP. You can grind as much as possible and get unlimited levels but those levels will be harder past,

The target level. To the point of being impossible. If you are below the target level you need less AP to gain that level.

Pandaria was solid. It went to shit when they backed off the difficulty spike because of casual bitching. Just like Cataclysm.
