I did a thing

An American Army thing. I got an EIB (Expert Infantryman's Badge), to a lot of people it may not mean a lot. To me it means I can start advancing my military career in the direction I want. It's also cool to rub in other Infantryman's faces.

True blue...

Hooah!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for not being a POG

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Congrats on the big accomplishment

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I felt the same way I got my Aircraft Maintenance and Munitions badge 4 years ago. I look down at it on my chest everyday, Good luck man.

from lowest to highest, CAB from mortaring the fob, EIB, CAB, CIB....right?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Forgot CMB, most distinguished combat badge

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sad to say today's army is a pansy joke.

I remember when I got my spurs (CAV). I was extremely proud. Congrats, Infantryman.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

fuck, man, I remember the spur ride at Hood.

Condolences on the loss today

Did they stab that shit into your chest? Do they still do that?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After I was awarded it, it got punched into my chest so many times it's actually bent now.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good job on not being a POG @OP.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Congratulation, got mine in '77.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

get off imgur, dad!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, you hurt me feelings and I just bought them.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OP is being modest. EIB has about a 10% average pass rate per test annually. It's a big deal. Good fucking job bro!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now you just need one with a wreath around it...congrats on this one though! Old unit made us do it even though we can't even wear it haha

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Isn't the CIB technically a requirement for an EIB? I'm looking at the requirements now and it seems way easier to get.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I don't think it is, I've seen EIB with no CIB and vice versa...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Non-infantry person here: I think somethings wrong when you cant wear an earned decoration.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Ya I guess...but to them it means a lot more since that's their job we were just doing it for training instead of the usual

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Almost as bad as wearing unearned decorations, e.g. Basic training unit patches.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck yeah, brother. Good job.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As your older brother, meh. Go do all the things. Just not that thing.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought you made a tiny gun ????

10 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

It's a minigun.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

had my... our "what is this? A ____ for ants?" comment all ready to go

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What is this? An army for ants?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

CIB.... only next best thing

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

False; CMB is the only one that true lay matters

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Congrats!!! Thank you for your service. :)

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Silly Army made me go through EIB training several times after the war. You can't wear the EIB and the CIB and the CIB trumps it anyway.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

From my time in, you only got the CIB if you were in combat and already had the EIB. But yes, the CIB is a "higher" award.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Whirlinggibberish is correct. The EIB is not a prerequisite for the CIB. Everyone who saw combat got the CIB regardless of EIB or no EIB.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also "My Time" was the early 90's. I'm a Desert Storm/Shield Vet. And most of my unit didn't have the EIB, we thought it was dumb busywork.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's the difference between a Combat Infantry Badge, and an Expert Infantry Badge??

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

EIB is awarded if the member has completed courses designed to demonstrate proficiency in infantry skills. CIB is awarded for combat.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bitch, I Oper. Ate!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Don't blink or you'll have to read it again.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sauce on how to make those?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Super late on this it's a speed reading program called spritz. Spritzinc.com

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know maybe mword then make a slideshow and record a small window

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where the words are

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know there iwas a post about a website that allowed you to create them and was wondering if anyone knew the name.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What happened to the wreath behind it?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That would be the Combat Infantryman Badge, awarded if the member has been in combat.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah...I was making fun of him for being a cherry.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, you're still no fister but it's alright. For real tho, nice fuckin job ,grunt.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol fisters, bunch of fucks

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aww thanks

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Love you sexy bustards... Not make it brrrrt

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Make sure to check the forums to see where to spend your skill points for a good character build

10 years ago | Likes 374 Dislikes 0

Spend a few on Intelligence and hacking. When you find drones you can own.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Make sure to pick up Shotgun and Explosive Evasion Shot.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It can still screw you. I put all mine in chemicals and then they banned it from PvP. Freaking Geneva Carebears.

10 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

Oh man, what a comment.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Made my day.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I suggest anything that can duel wield

10 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Since you'll be the only person in the entire game with that secret perk...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You only really start to see the true potential of dual wielding in the USN classes. Better reroll, groundpounder.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They nerfed dual wielding into the ground with the semi-auto DLC release. Two-handed builds are king now

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

What am i gonna do with these two uzi's?!

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Tape them together and make them fire grenades. Call it the fucker-upper.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Where do I put my flammenwerfer then?

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I was a red leg. I still get asked if they need to turn up the music. WHAT???

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As an O reporting to Sill in June, is my hearing that completely fucked?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wear your ear plugs and be sure to get a box of grid squares. They help.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks! They're with the chem light batteries right?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right next to the Lanier grease.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I never earned a EIB. I also was never an infantryman though. Spent lots of time around you fucks as a medic in olden days. Good days

10 years ago | Likes 114 Dislikes 1

Well the name checks out.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Doubley now as a doctor doc

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I always thought the medics were step above anyone.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We are. A medic is never early, nor is a medic ever late. A medic arrives precisely when he means to.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I shot a 39/40 in basic at the rifle range, does that count?... No?.. Okay.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Nothing wrong with that score.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grunt medics are one of like....3...non-Infantry types I tolerate.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Spent 6 1/2 years in the infantry as a medic before I went to medschool I'm now in a MEDDAC unit, an officer, and full POG status. I hate

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That I work with and I know would bring nothing but shame upon my beloved MOS if they ever pcs to w real infantry unit

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pure jibberish to me.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain, man. I accidentally spent a year in the Air Guard where I found myself a C130 radio guy. It was miserable.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ha, accidentally? Like you went out drinking one night and awoke to find you'd 4187 over to a new unit and branch?!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never got an EIB, but I got my long tab, which is nice.

10 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

Haha my man.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The EIB doesn't compare to that...

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I hear the EIB is pretty tough to get though so congrats. What unit?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4-25

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

.. how did I actually manage to read that?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Science, actual science not nsfw stuff. Check out Spritzinc.com

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy crap. That is very cool! Wonder how long it takes for e-books to be converted to that format.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jesus fuckin Christ, you were SF?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yessir

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's awesome. I have a lot of respect for the military and SF especially. Do you maybe have any tips? I'm starting in BCT next year 1

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

here in the Netherlands. I'm currently following a study comparable to ROTC to become a Airborne Pathfinder.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not too familiar with your Airborne Pathfinders, but as with anything, try to prepare yourself best you can both mentally and physically

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anything to give you a leg up. Also I'm sure it is the same with us that it never hurts to go into something like that being a PT stud. (2)

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Find out what things you need to excel at and study them prior. In my case it was a lot of SUT (Small Unit Tactics) and land navigation. (1)

Condolences on the loss today

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been out since 2010. What happened?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh damn. I was in Mosul in 2007 and worked with the Pesh. Great soldiers.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup from everything I've read about them, real badasses...happy people too.
