8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At what point is a pancake just a cake?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

French toast>waffles>pancakes in that order

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How the hell do you get pancakes that thick to cook all the way through? Slow bake? Isn't it just cake at that point? Mmmmm, cake.

The number 1 reason to buy a rice cooker.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These are just cakes now...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I believe they make these with a rice cooker

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I've made pancake mix in a rice cooker before, and I'd like to see how they got those nicely browned bottoms/tops. Couldn't get those myself

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The syrup to pancake ratio is horrible. AAANd heres your 3 inch thick pancakes Sir, and a few drops of syrup, so you choke to death

8 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 2

I lol'd at this comment

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even wprse, one half decent mouthful, then choke on pancake......such an avoidable death. Auch an elegant trap though.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

How do you make this type of pancake ?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hope and love

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A rice cooker, I believe

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aww it's a Dutch baby!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aren't Dutch babies different? I thought they had to be cooked in cast iron

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not a dutch baby. Those are thin and cooked in a cast iron pan. These are Japanese and I believe cooked in a rice cooker.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not even a 1/8 the amount of syrup I would need for these sponges.

8 years ago | Likes 389 Dislikes 3

That's what I'm saying

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And would it kill you to heat up the syrup?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, we aren't melting butter because...?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Decent butter portioning tho.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

i would literally have to just get a bucket and dip them in or this would be the dryest shit ever.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

And don't get me started on the pathetic butter portion!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Might as well fucking frost those cakes and serve them at Aunt Betty's birthday party.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Keep going...

Am i the only one that likes thin ones with crispy edges?

8 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 5

No, I like them moist and fluffy

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You are not alone. Tough I'm partial to crepes over pancakes myself.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pancakes, crepes, thin, thick. I don't care, I'll eat them all.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hell yes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(sweet) crepes >> american pancakes

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

obviously fucking not

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's a handful of us!

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Dozens, even!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

no. Place near me makes em thin as a tortilla and bigger than the plate. Its great.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I like those too. I'm not gonna say no to any breakfast food tbh

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No! I love them with butter and sugar then doused in lemon juice ....mmmmm

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No syrup at all?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This doesn't sound appealing to me, but I like to be open minded. Will try and report back.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's better with crepes I think. It also depends if you really like lemon or not.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

is it raw on the inside?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pancake batter filling

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

so raw batter ????

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. Mmm.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ew xD

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is this just 2 cheesecakes? Because you don't have to trick me, I just didn't know that was allowed for breakfast. I'll take 9, please.

8 years ago | Likes 143 Dislikes 2

As someone who's been making cheesecakes since about 9 years old, I can tell you that the only way that a cheesecake could have such dark

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Tops and such light sides would be if it was in a well maintained water bath and with a wrap around the pam to even out the cooking. Even

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Then, it wouldn't come out of the pan so cleanly without something around and underneath it to pull it out without using a knife or spatula

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

TL;DR - they're probably not cheesecakes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

To separate it from the sides, and there's no mark of wax paper or anything on the sides of the pancakes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like a Japanese cheesecake, right?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe these are rice cooker pancakes

8 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

You've just ruined my fantasy, sir.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 3

You sound like my ex

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

He just reignited mine, ma'am.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pro tip: cheesecake cooks best at lower temps for longer times. To help it even more, wrap your springform pan in foil and put it in a water

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Bath (on a pan you don't mind staining permanently), and when it finishes cooking, turn off the oven and prop the door open with a wooden

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Spoon to let it cool more slowly. If the top of the cheesecake had cracked, it's done cooking. Same for dark bubbles.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Rice cooker pancakes are a gift from the heavens. Why waste time with a dozen of the little ones, when you can have ONE GIANT PANCAKE??

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I don't care for them. Too fluffy

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

You have enabled diabetes for thousands

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The best pancake in the world is still not as good as a cheesecake.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Agreed.
