I’ve never advocated FOR a candidate. McConnell is a threat to our democracy, and I support those that oppose him.

I just gave this lady a donation, I hope she has an epic night. Pass it on.

For the record - I am in no way affiliated with the campaign, and I do not live in Kentucky. Mitch McConnell is a national cancer, and a national problem.

OP, THANK YOU, I live in Lexington, KY and am a HUUUGE advocate for McGrath. Mitch has GOT TO GO we need some change and hopefully she will

Moscow Bitch?

I live nowhere near Kentucky. I donated $100 to her campaign.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Hell yea I just donated.

Spread the word.

For a second I felt joy watching this.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Trump is an incompetent POS who doesn't "win," he just benefits from the DNC fucking up. McConnel is DANGEROUS. He needs to go.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Where’s Oswald when we need him

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just donated. Good call.

5 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 3

Shaved $10 from monthly food to send Amy past few months, please know just $1 from all of us might help

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck yes. Pass it on. #TurtleSoup !

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Realistically, a better play is to donate to someone that actually has a chance of unseating a republican so Turtle can't be the majority 1/

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

leader anymore. I don't see McGrath having a chance, no matter how many times "shit on McConnell's grave" is on my bucket list.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

why not both/all?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Give money to all of them" would be a viable solution if we had infinite time and money, but we don't.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You have a weird way to support someone. You wrote his name 3 times but not even once for her. I’m from Canada & I have no idea who she is..

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I live in CA. It's likely we'll have a democratic majority no matter what. But I still donated to her campaign.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just gave $50

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This post is how I learned RBG had passed. I want to cry. Please help us. It's going to get worse.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Just went on and donated $25, I hope to God she wins as much as Biden

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I just donated 20 bucks to this lady. feels good. Any one against the turtle has got an easy 20 from me. I don't even live in KY

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I mean, yes donate to her. But there are MUCH closer seats up for grab, so make sure to donate to those as well.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

100%

5 years ago | Likes 308 Dislikes 9

To be honest, there are better races to put your money behind, to check his power. SC, NC, Iowa, and then the obvious ones like Maine, AZ,CO

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

0% 1) She is 12 point behind and 2) she is running as pro Trump saying Mitch hasn't done enough to advance Trump agenda.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Spend your money in other races and make Mitch the minority leader,

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Keep it ?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I just gave $50. Sometimes you need to do more than just vote.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I despise the turtle, but there many closer senate elections where the Dem can actually win. The turtle will win this one decisively. 1/2

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Bullock, Harrison, Gross, Cunningham, Gideon, and Hickenlooper all need help. They're also all within striking distance of flipping seats.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Just donated $5, registered in TN!

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As much as I hate McConnell he's got a big lead on McGrath! Donate to better positioned Dem challengers--Maine, NC, SC, AZ, even MT or AK!!

5 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

Or all of ‘em. Full court press.

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

But Susan Collins assured me that Trump learned his lesson.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Fuck that old bat.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hopefully she’ll learn her lesson after getting voted out

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

As a Kentuckian, I thank you. Unfortunately, she's "too liberal" for the ignorant masses. I'm going to do my part, I hope she can win.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Sounds like your education system needs more attention. Don’t just vote the old farts out, vote to educate the kids so this doesn’t happen.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wish. However, in Ky, basketball, horses, and bourbon will always come before skoolin'. Or rather, "learnin'".

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

KY is something like 48th in education.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, that explains it

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just donated from southern louisiana. RIP RGB indeed friend. Y’all take care:)

5 years ago | Likes 252 Dislikes 7

Donated. San Diego, CA

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I Hope you're Okay....LA!!

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

South Louisiana? There are liberals there?

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Fuck yeah. Pass it on

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 4

I live in tx so everyone down here "isn't glad she is dead, but is glad she is gone".... times like these I wish I could vote here.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not everyone! Also in TX, I don’t know anyone who feels this is a good thing for the US. Even my sis (Trumper) feels it “could mean trouble1

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For women’s rights in the future.” It could be the tipping point to get her to vote against Trump on the bright side.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ve donated to her. But she is still at least 3 points behind the turtle.

5 years ago | Likes 201 Dislikes 9

I live in KY and his attack ads on her are soooooooo annoying.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Her ads are equally annoying. Maybe if we put up a viable candidate against him that didn’t have the personality of a potato

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

She had potential. The first mistake she made as a candidate for me is using the attack ads back. She should have stuck with her wants.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Americans need to bus to Kentucky cities, rural included, and hold patriotic rallies for her

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think last I saw shes 12 points back. Tough to win as a dem in Kentucky, even more difficult that shes a woman

5 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 2

Hillary was winning according to the polls in 2016. We won’t know until it’s over, so roll up your sleeves and get to work.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After 2016, no one should be complacent.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or trust the polling numbers. People show up in the weirdest ways these days. Don’t let anything get in the way of doing the hard work.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dont trust the polling numbers. 2016 case in point

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I donated as well... but it's ot as close as people want to believe. She has no realistic shot. It's ridiculous.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I wish this wasn't true, but it is. Donate to jaimie Harrison instead, let's get ole vapors gone. Much more achievable win in s carolina.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

She's way behind. Kentucky is a very conservative state. Poor schools, low income, bad economy. Go figure

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are many closer races in this cycle where the Dem can actually win. Throwing $$ at McGrath seems like a waste tbh.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Exactly this.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If we take back the Senate, Mitch hopefully won't be as big of a problem.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hate America. WTF do her bits have to do with the fucking job she's running for?!

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That's not only an America problem. Sexism is alive and well all over the world.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Mitch McConnell is a textbook example of why we need term limits. 30+ years of supporting special interests, and not his constituents.

5 years ago | Likes 1091 Dislikes 20

Ironically enough, Trump has term limits on his 2nd term agenda.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Amen. Fuck that guy.

5 years ago | Likes 146 Dislikes 1

His constituents actually support him. The voters are shitty people.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So the next guy can have the same policies? He needs to be voted out so the GOP knows people don't want their policies. Ter

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Over term limits I wish their was a bipartisan way to report on whether an elected was voting in their own interest over their constituents

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If it can be demonstrated you are not representing your constituents, you should go directly to jail. No taxation without representation.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

And yet most of the state still supports him. The problem isn’t him.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Biden, 47 years of unkept promises and one of the worst senate records in history. I agree, term limits would apply here. Pelosi too.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I agree, but his constituents are very, very stupid. That's a bigger problem that needs solved.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

We vote them into there seat if you don't like them vote for whoever is competing against them next voting cycle

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Term limits would just put the world's McConnell's in an unelected position instead "helping" the new legislators

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Term limits will also remove bernie. We need anti-gerrymandering.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bitch Mitch, fine example of a patriotic traitor.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

He is married to Elaine Chao who is the Secretary of Transportation. She diverts a ton of money to Kentucky so they are happy with Mitch.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A corporation represents their stock holders, not the users of their products.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We have needed term limits for a while.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Joe Biden has 40+ years.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 15

So what? He looks like Jesus compared with McConnell and his administration won't be a clusterfuck...

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

While I also agree, his constituents could have voted him out at least 5 times. Some of this is our fault.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Yes, but we're all dealing with it. Term limits would solve this...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's a lot of great, reasonable people in KY... unfortunately, there's also a LOT of Methy areas to the south/east

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The issue is the corruption, which term limits would exacerbate. And there'd be even less individual accountability. We barely have any now.

5 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I prefer consecutive term limits. I.e. can do 2 in a row before you have to skip one. I feel that's a strong compromise

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Could take a page from Lenin's democracy (aka council democracy): All representatives are subject to a recall vote at any time.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

An educated and informed electorate can solve the problem far quicker than bringing in term limit laws.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the term limit laws would raise the bar for the electorate to clear. And that's already high due to funded and active disinformation.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Robert Duncan, one of the directors of a pro-GOP super PAC that helps elect McConnell and others in the Senate, is also

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Chairman of the USPS Board of Governors. @OP

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

While we’re here (and I agree). Should there be ‘lifetime appointments’ for Judges?

5 years ago | Likes 165 Dislikes 4

No

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Judges where never supported to be political in the first place. The corruption starts with the political branches.

5 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

No they shouldnt, and they should have to retire when 65 years old. Just like there shouldn't be a president older than that.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

When it was written, life expectancy was thirty years less. so... Maybe a rethink is in order.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely not. We strongly need to reconsider how our entire society works.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Somewhere along the way we lost the idea that these positions are a civic duty.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No, there shouldn’t be.

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 5

Per Artilce Three it is not lifetime. It is during periods of good behavior and can be impeached. It just involves work.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Opinions change over time, so should judges.

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Yes and no, tbh id prefer them to have no relationship with any political affiliations in any form & no elections for judges.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The idea makes sense in a world without infinite dark money. If that can be fixed then I welcome lifetime appointment for scotus

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Judges aren't supposed to be political at all

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Idk I think judges being life time is ok... since judges are not spose to be partisan and the law is the law? (In a perfect world)

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

They shouldn't, but they should implement regulations to prevent judges from "campaigning" if they introduce term limits

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Just make it a single 10 year term staggered with one justice changed every other year. Most senior judge is Chief Justice.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What mechanism would you purpose to reduce partisanship in judges, then? A recent gay rights decision was 6-3, with Roberts and Gorsuch 1/

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

voting to side with the arguments from the LGBTQ side. That never could happen if they had to worry about politics.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Make it so they can only ever be elected once for ten years and then be removed forever? Can’t worry about a re-election, then

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That _could_ work, but then the judges would be working closely with party to get their successor elected, so they still wouldn't be able 1/

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure it would work but I think each newly elected president should be allowed to replace a judge of their choice each election. It's a

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

avenue to let the population intervene if the supreme court gets too stacked one way.
