Maybe I just need some loose lips

Jan 18, 2017 2:59 PM

My biggest pet peeve at work is hearing about all the petty bullshit that goes on between coworkers, so I actively tune those conversations out and just silently nod along. Unfortunately this has deemed me as a virtual safe for rumors and workplace shit fuckery. I just want to get my work done, I don't care who the hell took your activia from the lunch room Debbie.

Hello..I'm in retail management. Would you like me to regale you in all the workplace bs I deal with in 20 minutes?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yup. It's like "Sharon let me eat my salad I don't fucking care what Betty said earlier at the copier."

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ain't this some real shit for me too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same until I was just agreeing with people to get what I needed and people started saying I was saying shit about them. Back to shutting up.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So much truth to this! It's the same thing for me at my job! I just want to be left alone and not forced to pretend I care about your words.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It looks like is a imgur story time post.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I TOOK YOUR ACTIVIA DEBBIE!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

God dammit, if you weren't so busy poking smot you wouldn't have the munchies and I wouldn't have to deal with this shit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Suffer in silence or board the train. Drama sucks lol

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I work at a salon. I've learned to embrace the chisme.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have the exact same situation. Except it's with all my friends.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My ex did this. We work at the same place. Always had the best gossip.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

post drama here get rich off points

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We used to mock that training video that's supposed to teach you respect for fellow employees.

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Quiet people hear everything.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It took me a long time to learn that you can't solve anyone else's problems. It's better that way.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Took me half a year. It's not my responsibility, so it's not my problem.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't spread the gossip/rumors, I just collect it all, and silently judge everyone around me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should definitely make an imgur series of this. After Debbie's bitching, I want to know who has it out for her.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

See, I would but I feel like it would be incredibly boring. But Steve is the activia stealer if you must know.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Drop one bombshell rumor about someone a year. It'll keep them on their toes

9 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

*whispers* secretly I'm a little bit naive.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Fucking Debbie.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

It's always Debbie

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bide your time. One day someone will confide something in you so juicy it'll be worth a promotion to rat them bastards out.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh I wish it was something more interesting than lunch theft or political discord.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here. I'm the only guy in our 30ish people department. Holy shit women are so fucking catty and assholes to each other. I'm gay now

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I learned that early on and generally hang out with guys. A few are really gossip or drama prone, but vast improvement overall.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My bf's coworkers are all male (he's a commercial plumber) and have threatened and harassed him to the point he's been through 6 companies

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I work at a salon. I'm Reina Chismosa

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously though, guys are just as bad if not worse in my office.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I honestly believe in that saying, "Women hold each other back." now. So true in this office. All the backstabbing and tears. G'lord

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I work with 70% men, 30% women. The women are soooo much worse. And I also fall into the 'DGAF' bucket, so they all trust me to 'listen' :(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hate that. I need to stop being nice and just ask them to stfu

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This right here is why I hate working with women. I literally do not give a single flying fuck about this stuff. Go 'way.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

Oh there's a guy at my work who bad talks everyone behind their back. It's not just women.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ohhh. See, this is why I hate working with dramatic people. Most of the drama at my job is from.. dramatic people. Guys starting it, & then1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

2)being too "proud" to back down, or compromise. It's beyond ridiculous ,& so immature. I've worked with plenty of mature men/women, it's A+

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Don't even get me started about my summer job at my mom's flower shop. All women or gay men. So much drama

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

It's a fucking nightmare

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People think I'm good at keeping secrets. I just forget. DONT EXPECT ME TO RELEARN THE NAMES OF YOUR 5 BOYFRIENDS EVERY WEEK KAREN.

9 years ago | Likes 387 Dislikes 1

You all are horrible at keeping secrets. You just posted the info on a sharing website.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This. This is exactly why I am good at keeping secrets

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha same here! In one ear and out the other...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just know, you now have the power to destroy their lives.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hah, same. Then people go "thanks for not telling anyone about that thing I told you," and I'm all "uh, sure, that thing you told me. Yup."

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fucking Karen. What a bitch.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

This also helps. I'm real good at remembering numbers and data, but rumors I have no room for.

9 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

Covert the rumors to numbers and data.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Roomers?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit, I'd have trouble remembering Karey's name.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

For real, nobody cares about Kelly anyway, much less her drama.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

For real, though? Employee name tags are the one thing I miss from working retail >.<

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mass email the entire company everything you've learned if you get fired.

Username checks out

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

lmfao @ kermit.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What's this meme?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Evil Kermit

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice backup plan. Haha

9 years ago | Likes 156 Dislikes 1

Create the email but don't send it just save it when the time comes because once you get fired you won't have time to do it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

WHY WAIT?!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get a small microphone, and just record your office.,

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I know you're probably joking, but in some states that's asking for major legal problems.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only 11 states require consent from all parties prior to recording. The rest only require that one of the parties being recorded consented.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Federal law allows for single-party consent to record. 18 U.S.C. 2511(2)(d). ( I will copy it below this)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It shall not be unlawful under this chapter for a person not acting under color of law to intercept a wire, oral, or electronic (1/*)
