For everyone to lazy to watch the video, he made a special piano the octopus can hold onto instead of pressing then rewarded him a crab if he was able to play several random notes in a row.
The Animal was clearly condition to pull on random levers in the end but far from a melody. A rat or a pig can actually learn patterns for example easily outperforming it.
Octopuses think very differently than mamals but nothing in this video convinced me that it was anything more than conditioning.

When you share a link, you should remove everything after and including the ?si=; that's tracking information and can sometimes house your profile information to any recipients, depending on the website you're sharing from
