Well, they recently fired most (if not all) of the imgur staff out of the blue, so there's that. No one to find and fix issues, no community team to communicate with users, just AI and silence on their end.
RIP martynmage/Satan/spockismyhomeboy/etc., etc.
Also lots of questionable warnings, bans, and removed posts, particularly those critical of medialab.
Oh, and notifications were broken all weekend, but they seem to be somewhat functional at present.

Kind of. Things have been getting bad for a while now, including firing staff, ramping up the use of AI, and pushing more and more ads onto users. Recently, notifications have stopped working, and with no fix seemingly in sight, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. People started complaining, and the complaints were getting deleted, which only made things worse, leading to all the hate posts today.

I completely forget this site has ads as they permanently handed out the premier membership thing a couple of years ago to some accounts

No fix and NO communication from the staff. A simple "we're working on it" would have gone a long way.

Does appear they fixed it. I hope they had to hire one of the old devs for big money to come back and fix it.
