I am disappointed that more people didn't stick with this longer. But on the other hand, imgur has had a bot problem for awhile and I would guess (some conjecture here) that those bots continue to post and to upvote the regular content here. That just leads othwrs to believe the protest is over.

I think people sort of gave up, but are still holding out hope for a 9/1 blackout, or they were distracted by nudity and porn.

I learned that i enjoyed imgur when it was black squares and smut and an occasional good story about a user, political post, news, etc. In fact, minus the black squares it was basically old imgur! Albeit with a major influx of straight up porn. But very on par. I guess what im saying is that despite the bullshit it caused for some of our friends here. Id settle for an nsfw toggle switch and imgur going back online in Ukraine etc. i learned i missed my little safe place filled with wonder >

And amazement. Its like hanging out with old friends to me and many others or a place to slip into in a waiting room an uber ride. I have AuDHD and this has been a life saver. Figuratively and quite literally in many cases. I looked for other places but my memories are here. I think ive been here for 12 years? Anywho, i learned a lot and i dont want to see it go. There has to be a compromise. I really hope things can be sorted. Rant over

No, unknown friend. The protest is not over. We are regrouping. It was the first battle and to be earnest, everybody missed the normal using times here. We will find ways to hurt the assholes, to destroy Medialab Ai, or at least find a way out of it. There a many people thinking about the same thing. Take a breath, you are not alone. We are just sharpening our knives.
