That game boy was 10 years old almost before that Nokia came out

My mom ran over one, and threw the other out the window of our family van. Both were beyond working. Nokia, find a new opponent.

Coulda sworn it was at the Henry Ford Museum. Guess they moved it?

When I took my wife there, I told her that that was the Game Boy I once saw in a 1991 Nintendo Power.

A GameCube memory card was in my pocket and went through the washer/dryer. Every save file survived. Nintendo isn’t (wasn’t) messing around.

I doubt the original screen survived by the looks of the rest. It was changed out

I think Nintendo changed their display.

They did replace the screen from what I hear

TBF that IS the weakest part out of the whole original GameBoy. Tends to die all by itself.

I remember reading about the game boy in Nintendo Power that year. ‘Cause me old

Me too! Hello, fellow old fart!

Super RC Pro Am, Mortal Kombat, R-Type

I have one of those! Got it for xmas in '90 maybe '89. Still works, just missing some non vital bits & frequently explodes batteries. Lol.

I think they replaced the screen, its plastic also but looks perfect? Probably replaced the insides too to get it working, cool story though

Fun story, I had a Gameboy Color that fell into a mud puddle because my grip on it wasn't the strongest. Once dried, still worked.

Had a gameboy as a kid that I lost. Blamed my sister for stealing it for years. Found it in a box of stuff my dad was getting rid of a few

years back. Flipped the switch and that bitch turned on like 20 years later with the same batteries.

How’s the soldier doing?

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

He's doing fine. He's perpetually plugged in at the Nintendo World Store in New York City

If I remember right that barracks was hot by a SCUD missile. Was the single biggest lost of life for the US in the war 28 killed

Shot/bombed i guess I should have said

One can only imagine the sheer power the offspring of these two would have

Impossible, one of them would have to be penetrated and I don’t see that happening.

I have seen this. It really is there.

7 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

Me too! It was running Tetris in a “Nintendo systems through the year” case in the NYC store

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a photo of it in the post. I don't think people are doubting its existence.

Yeah, but it's interesting to see a picture of something on Imgur and to actually seen it irl (and I've been there too, live in NYC! :D)

I went and was underwhelmed

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's definitely fair, it does get a lot of hype. I mostly go because it's close and a fun place to waste a couple hours.

I thought it'd be magical. It was a shop.
