This feels sad because it's like they don't have any actual wilderness to sleep in anymore.

Can I not relax without someone shoving a camera up into my face?! Cmon man

Its not much of a forest, but it's mine. /slaps tree - Deer

Feels like a view in augmented reality

Seriously, do the Japanese people raise them as pets? I'm always seeing these pictures of deer in Japan acting like dogs & cats. I'm jealous

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nara is pretty famous even in Japan for its deer (sign says welcome to Nara Park). They're kinda just tamed by the town itself; not pets.

It’s so cool to see wildlife in their natural habitat.

Yes before man drove them off into the wilderness

Ah, the deers in Nara, Japan. If they notice the slightest indication of you having a cookie, they will mug you.

Was about to say, these look nothing like the deer in my area

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Got bit and chased 10 years back. Was terrifying then (never been close to a deer let alone 10), but hilarious now

Aggressive bowing that quickly turns into head butting.

Yup, you can go here for Nara deer feeding action! https://youtu.be/P8z1ABmXRy8

They do not mess around

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are greedy little bastards

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they ate my park map. I literally had a tug-of-war with one that stole the park map out of my pocket. I lost and the deer just ate it.

Seems the gods they are the messengers of needed directions right quick.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same thing happened to my friend in Miyajima. She didn’t have a snack so the deer yoinked the map right out of her back pocket.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Ah…so like regular children?”

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

much worse... more like like a gang in the hood..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You just need to feed them into submission

If you're close enough to deer to talk to them, you call them deer-san

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you want to see stuff like this in the US you can go to Ashland, OR. They also have a good Shakespeare festival.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that sign in front of the deer has Japanese writing and pictures of deer, probably warning that they like to rest there or something.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Japanese druids?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The peacefulness, cleanliness, lack of graffiti and crackheads wasn't clue enough?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like Nara, I guess

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Beautiful place. Hope to go there again soon

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The sign 'welcome to nara park'

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yep, those look like Sika deer.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Shika is deer in Japanese. Just FYI.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sika is Finnish for pig... so they're cops, then?!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0
