Cleveland Browns could use her!

Nope, it's a field goal so it's legit. There are a few instances in the game where you must use your foot but yeah it's mostly hands. P.S. I've never heard the term handegg and it's my new favorite word it's freaking hilarious.

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

it's worth a lot less than bringing it over by hand, probably because it damages the yolk.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Football scoring used to entirely be rushing. Forward pass only became a thing later on...mostly in the '30s.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are four situations in American football where it's common to kick the ball: (1) the kickoff that starts off each half; (2) a field goal attempt, seen here; (3) a "conversion" (extra point) after touchdown; or (4) the punt, commonly executed on 4th down when the team is about to lose possession of the ball so as to get the ball as far downfield as possible.

Lived in Missoula! U of M is an awesome school! I miss living there sometimes.

6 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Fuxk you dude. Montana sucks, but North Dakota is nice

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Go Bobcats.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

May I politely suggest using more letters/words so that it's easier to understand what you're referring to without context? I was about to comment that it's a shame how nice the university might be when Missouri is such a shitty state until I read the response mentioning Montana. I almost never think about Montana, and I don't think I've ever read context for where Missoula is located before so my brain thought "U of M" was University of Missouri.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yikes, I seem to have struck a cord with the abbreviation police & someone from North Dakota, which I also lived for 6 months. I didn’t realize a simple comment would be taken so wrong.

They should roll them together into an alliance. UMMMMMMMMMM. I'm not kidding there are ten of them in the US alone from Michigan to Miami, Massachusetts to Memphis, Maine to Minessota lol. Let alone Melbourne and Munich! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U_of_M

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, thanks, my friend! I suppose everything works out for an abbreviation confussion! v

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Way to go!

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But how far?

6 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

15yd line, so 25yd kick

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hard to tell but I think it was like a 20 yard kick from the quick side-view or about the distance of a college extra point.

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Our local pro team (Steelers) used to do this at halftime now and again. IIRC you'd get a 5-yard, a 10-yard, and a 15-yard kick, and if you made all of those they'd put you at 25 yards for the big prize. Most people couldn't make it past 10 yards.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And many people can't even do that.

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Few New Zealanders would struggle with that.
Maybe the ones that are obscurely proud that they don't like rugby.
Most of us learn to do this at primary school.
It's really not that hard imo

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I feel like that's worth more than $1k.

6 months ago | Likes 165 Dislikes 6

To some schools it's worth four years of tuition.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like that was it? From the stadium that made that back in like 10 seconds.

6 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

its basically a free thousand from a fun event, not a lottery.

6 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

About a million a year, or so

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

With how much they're paying the athletes now, yes.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel like kicking a ball isn’t worth a fucking thing.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, there have been literal billions of dollars spent on people who literally do just that. So I think your feeling is a tad off...

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh look. A person called EngorgedPhallus is explaining my feelings to me.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Image if she had the proper kicking shoes. Probably would’ve hit the parking lot.

6 months ago | Likes 180 Dislikes 7

"Ball is in...Parking Lot"

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some small town high school football teams recruit kickers from the girls soccer team. Not uncommon.

6 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

My eye doctor is the first female to score in a college football game. She was the kicker.

6 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Her touch is more delicate these days. Otherwise your eye balls are in danger!

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's always this guy

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She clearly knew her technique going into the kick. She's probably played on soccer teams at least when she was younger.

6 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Oh definitely soccer. Left foot planted ahead of the ball. Jump through the kick. The approach from an angle to view through the players obstructing the ball. The kick was on the top of the foot not from the toes.it was all good

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*football

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This happened in America, so I can call it American.

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the steps back and approach, all of it, screamed not her first rodeo. ^_^

6 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yeah three steps back and three to the non-kick leg side is pretty standard for rugby union and rugby league place kicks too. She was just nervous to do it front of a huge crowd

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Corner Kicks are handled pretty similar to field goal kicks.

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pretty much all penalty kicks are.

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You don't aim that high. The mental battle is with the goalkeeper not with the goalpost.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man, I miss playing soccer when I was a kid...

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You can play soccer as an adult! My dad played in leagues when I was growing up. A wide skill range participated

6 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but some of us would need to lie down for a week straight after a game before being able to physically function again.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Give yourself some credit - you would adapt!

A couple days of recovery workouts in between and in a couple of months you’ll be wishing you could play twice a week

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Games tend to be the same day every week, so you'll be recovered in time to wreck yourself again.

6 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Soccer is too intense to be your only exercise 1x/week. You need to be active and ideally train at least twice per week in order to avoid injury. Source: more than a handful of friends who injured themselves bc of weekly soccer
