Big fan of Ian Mcshane, particularly his portrayal of Al Swearengen in an equally underrated show. Deadwood.

Most viral edit: First time, excited about my fake internet points.

Just so everyone knows, something can be well liked, and still be underrated.

Lovejoy!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I know right? That show was sooo good and i'm not even into western.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ok let’s get one thing straight, his best role was Lovejoy and the worlds missing out in this gem!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lovejoy was awesome!

P.S. I hate Frank.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Agreed. That man steals every scene he's in. Check out Kings as well if you like him in Deadwood.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That was a good show. Interesting slink on an old tale. Shame it was only one season

People who see actors in only a few things and think they're underrated..

Yea based on the book. It was pretty darn good ... the show. I haven't read the book.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lovejoy was a great show too - by far the most badass crime fighting antiques Collector of the last thirty years

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well, he wasn't really "badass". Just knowledgeable and roguishly charming and—low-key—extremely horny.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I said "most badass" - if there have been more badass antique dealers taking down blackmailers and solving thefts let me know.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, because I would watch the shit out of it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So far you are the fourth person to even know, if the comments are any indication. Lovejoy forever.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Swergen understands Wu

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He was downright terrifying in Sexy Beast. As was Sir Ben Kingsley. One creepy movie, kids.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

'Well I'm gonna give you a tenner. Oh look I've only twenty's you got change"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sexy Beast has such great performances from all the actor's. HIGHLY recommended. McShane and Kingsley were the boogiemen in that movie.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Amazing, it’s a must watch.

Got to meet Ricky Whittle over the weekend. He loves this man.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I thought that role was a miss for him.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't think it's coming back for a second season?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was the best part of American Gods, even when Scully & the mad leprechaun were stealing scenes.

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I've gotta finish that show. I watched the first half and life got in the way

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Worth it. Final ep is crazy and ends on a cliffhanger - fair warning.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Do you know who I am.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Since the very first episode, yes. That didn't make his reveal any less epic, though.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like Mad Sweeney.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Oh, definitely. He's undoubtedly over-the-top, tho.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, he is a 7ft tall leprechaun...

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Underrated...? The man has 2 awards, including Golden Globe for Deadwood + 22 nominations.

8 years ago | Likes 282 Dislikes 0

On the internet, underrated = HAY GUISE LOOK AT THIS THING I LIKE

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And yet, still underrated.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Under utilised I think is better.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Highly rated actor.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

1 People keep using the word "underrated." I don't think it means what they think it means. Some other post was about the "underrated" show

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 Bojack Horseman. I'm like what the hell? Have you checked its ratings? All very, very high.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boom! Rated!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's all well & good until you watch Deadwood and expect the mother of a finale and it ends with a whisper only to find out it was never...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

..picked up for another season. Yes I'm salty as fuck about that. Also Godless on Netflix. Fucking epic.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Right? I came here to say that.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but do most people in general even know his name, though? That's probably what they mean by "underrated."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was about to write this.

He puts such a smile on my face in the John Wick movies too. Ian McShane is, indeed, like bacon.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Besides just being so damn unique looking. You can't mistake his eyes. OP forgot Hot Rod and Hercules too. (Rock version)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

His guest spot on GOT was awesome too. I loved his speech about something bigger than us.

So much singed nose hair.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got excited when he was cast as he would have made an ideal Greyjoy (Euron, Victarion or Aeron from the books). Shame he got a shit part.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yea...HBO set me up...again

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yep, he nearly had the Hound redeemed...

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

The Hound is redeemed though

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

In no small part due to the soul-searching that McShanes character got him started on.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Ahh, the past tense of his comment was confusing, very true

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Nobody mentions his amazing performance in the worlds best movie “ Hot Rod”? Dude had moves in that flick

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was expecting him to be a major character. Was well disappointed.

it was awesome! i was so disappointed that there wasn't more of him :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was a bit put off by his slagging off the show and its fans behind the scenes, though.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Elaborate, please?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He casually revealed that the Hound was gonna be coming back, and then when people called him out on it, said something along the lines of-

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

-"get a fucking life. It’s only tits and dragons".

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

To which I must respond; Tits and dragons are my life. It is a good life thank you very much. It has both tits, and dragons.
