I made this dress for a Christmas party as a joke. Thought i would share it with the world of imgur.

No pattern. All freehand crochet.

Do people still wear pantyhose?

Digging the lights. Are they a small battery powered set and are they machine washable or do you remove them for washing?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hadn't thought of that, not washable lol. Good thing it didn't get dirty

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So no way to remove them easily for washing?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Delightful! You rock that!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Every time I've ever tried to crochet it looked like a spider on LSD tried to spin a web. +1.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm sure it's not that bad! It comes with practice. My grandma taught me when I was young. Way before the days of YouTube, but try that!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ok I'll try again, but don't be surprised if it's on one of those "nailed it" things on Buzzfeed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I needz it!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That dress pattern is cute as fuck. I want one.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Working on a sales page, will keep people posted as I go, did not expect this much love

Ugly Dress with pretty girl...so, you cancel out?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anything to distract from the shitty tattoos, right?

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 19

It looks like they aren't finished yet...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How did you get it poofy in the skirt?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I made a tutu

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The circle of life

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha, awesome! Thank you

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That poor turtle.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is at worst a "tacky" Christmas dress. Pleasant, mostly symmetrical design, and color pallet for the holidays.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What's fuckin' ugly are the tattoos.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 15

I think it's fuckin' dope. I love tattoos.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Not surprising coming from someone who who uses the phrase, "fuckin' dope."

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Very judgemental of you. Shame.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was going to say something about the dress and the early 90s tribal matching but thought I say too much mean stuff here.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Nah. You're justified this time!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

The one on the right arm is definitely a lost bet

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Adorkable

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A couple things: 1) What's your necklace? 2) The lights make an awesome touch. 3) High five for Trix.

8 years ago | Likes 127 Dislikes 4

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My necklace is a turtle, I've worn it for years, and thank you, and high 5 back

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

Ah! A turtle! Cool! I can see it now but had no clue before...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But they're for kids!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Maybe @op is a kid at heart.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The kitchen drawer is crooked

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's awesome!! You're very talented

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I agree, it's quite artistic.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is ugly as fuck I love it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've wanted a ugly sweater romper. Unfortunately they don't exist....

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

As a straight male, I'd wear the shit outta that because it's fucking hilarious.

8 years ago | Likes 659 Dislikes 6

As I've seen 2 grown ass teens go to a Halloween party in dresses, not surprised

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You should see red dress runs in the hashing (hash house harriers community). Everyone wears a dress.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Given nickname Im having doubts believing you talk about dress.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ill w... no

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Despite being a heterosexual male, who usually aren't expected to wear garments like this, I'd still do it due to it being greatly amusing.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

her or the dress

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

We should knit many of them and form a mighty flock of dress-wearing straight men.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Drop Rudolph’s nose about 6 inches, and it would be even funnier

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You won't be straight for long when the dress starts sucking your dick and you find out that it's actually a guy and now you're confused

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Do you want to talk about it?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a safe space.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Any comment that starts with “as a straight male “ is most certainly gay!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

True. The comment is definitely gay, however, I am not.

8 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 18

Don't say it! Do not bring shame to our family, Waffles!

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Obligatory mistletoe is on the hip comment here

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's holly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you know her name?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Har har har

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

derp

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm torn... I love it... but are there pockets?

8 years ago | Likes 435 Dislikes 1

Every women’s dilema now with jeans!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

No pocket, but it lights up, I feel that more than makes up for it

8 years ago | Likes 261 Dislikes 2

.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Add pockets so when some women comments on it being ugly, stare into their face while you pull something out of your functional pocket!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why not both

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I suppose it does.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it ugly though...you made it and you look like a million bucks. So is it really ugly ???

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lights are pretty awesome...but...pockets.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You need to hit a rave wearing the dress.... Those off their tits on mdma will appreciate you...

8 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 0

But would the appreciate the epileptic fit followed by me attending a rave? I do make ravewear and sell it locally though. Thank you!!

8 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Do you have a link for your ravewear... I don't rave anymore but some of my friends do

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Would you sell it internationally if I paid shipping and handling?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Freehand crochet jesus christ. No thank you. How. When? Did you plan this in january?

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

Thank you, it was actually made as a joke, took about a week and a half total.

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I couldnt accomplish that with a disney princesss animal army helping.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You animal! A week and a half!

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Thank you

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Seriously? How are your hands still functioning? I take weeks to do a baby blanket and even then I have to take days off. Well done, OP.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

My baby blankets always end up wider on one end, because apparently I can't count.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Most of my baby blankets have been done in the round, but I ran into this problem occasionally too. We all get tired of counting.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Probably missing the last stitch slash not working into the chain. I used to do that *a lot*

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I can't count either. I recommend granny square blankets. Less counting, made one for my baby and only took a week

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Props!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thank you

Seriously guys, are we not doing 'phrasing' anymore?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What corner do you work? Sorry, couldn’t resist it

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a long time knitter, friends don't let friends crochet, dear. (But seriously, that's spectacular)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Just started crocheting.. why do you think knitting is better?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol, tbh I just prefer the smooth knit texture to the knotty look, but you'll have more flexible patterns

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Awesome. Might be with it for me to learn both! I was under the impression that crocheting was more cost effective but probably not true.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m guessing freehand means you didn’t have a plan to follow but can you share what stitch you used?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It looks like a combo of basic single or double stitch, depending on which spot you're looking at.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks!!
