I've never heard of this man before, and yet I think I read the text his voice throughout the entire gif.

I don't need to see the video to hear the squeals of a dying seal.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bloody good!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Every time the shot changed I started rereading the same sentence.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The moment I heard Joe's pompous, aristocratic voice, I did not like him, but as I listened on, I ceased not liking him. Good show, old boy

Am I the only one who thinks if he knowingly parked illegally that weaseling his way out of it is not something to be applauded?

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

No. Where I am from they take a picture of your car from afar so your plate and surroundings are clearly visible. Try arguing with that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

City parking is a legal racket. I support this post.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I don't disagree. I think people are missing the distinction I am making though. Instead of breaking the rules, how about changing them?

Virtually every word I've heard that man utter has just oozed out of his mouth like a discarded lump of spoiled cottage cheese. Accent or no

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It certainly does, now about your upcoming fine

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

British accent doesn’t exist. You’re talking about a ‘BBC’ accent.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Big black cock accent?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It is real, just like the American accent, it varies from region to region

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yet an accent doth butter no parsnips.

I tried to fight a red light camera fine one time by requesting to question my accuser on the stand. The judge looked at me and said : >>

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Mr.Cruse your fine is $175. Pay the clerk. Next time don't make a mockery of my courtroom. The fine was only $50 originally...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't know your state/province, but wouldn't your "accuser" would be whichever govt dept/agency issued the citation? Hardly mockery.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I should think it would be, yes. However, people try to get out of fines with video evidence by claiming that the camera itself is the »

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"accuser" and, as it is unable to provide a statement, they are free to go. That is probably the argument Mikec311 tried. It is quite silly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If that was the context yes, but it wasn't. There was no evidence of who was driving so I was actually trying to bring someone from the >>

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Private company who runs the cameras and issues the violation to court so they could admit they didn't know who was driving. Didn't work.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Scotland, you don't need to pay certain private parking fines. They'll hassle you but they can't force you like in England.

8 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 6

Same in NZ.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's the same in England.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thats the same everywhere.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No it's the same in England

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats the same here...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yup. I got a parking fine from a university that I no longer attend. I ignored it. They have no legal standing to make you pay.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same (Ontario). Although if they catch you in the lot again and you have an unpaid private fine, they will tow without mercy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where? I only know from friends who work in government and deal with this kind of stuff. It could be that it's changed since I found out

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You do not need to legally pay private parking enforcement from places like universities. Their only "threat" is holding diplomas

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you say "private parking" do you mean a fine levied by a private citizen (such as a store)?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm sure it applies to all except the government set places. They'll send you threatening letters but they don't mean shit.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well yeah, unless the government sends the fine, you don't have to pay it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, same in England.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So wait, you park in some store's no parking area, and the store itself actually tries to issue you a fine? Am I understanding this right?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, you park without paying in a parking lot that they say you have to pay for. They can't actually enforce the fines.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be clear, they can take you to a civil court for breach of contract and enforce the fine as long as notices were clearly displayed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They can try, as long as you don't go or answer the letters, they can't physically make you.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unless it's govt. controlled or I physically sign it, it's not a contract I've entered into.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wrong. Clearly displayed signs mean that the act of parking constitutes agreement to a contract. If you ignore letters you end up with ccjs

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So how do they get your address?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

By your car registration.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Clearly, but that data shouldn't be publicly available.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think they take it from the driver licensing authority, not sure why they can though :/
