My cat did that when I was a baby. He was so pissed that I was in his spot

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's like "I'm your baby, all you need is me!"

10 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Cat's in the cradle...no silver spoon though.

congrats on getting a second crib.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In the night if I cried my cat always came and calmed me down before my parents. Let the cats be cats

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

make sure your cat tests negative for toxoplasmosis before letting it hang around the newborn

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Look at that smile, do you really have the heart to tell him its not?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pfft Pretty sure you thought the crib you put together was for your baby.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ima touchy fishy

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is now

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Close. Pretty sure your cat thinks it's ALL for him. The feline galactic core upon whose axis the universe turns.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is his now you didn't put the baby in fast enough

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maine FUCKIN Coon!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Mine does basicly the same.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but you should take all that shit out of the crib. It's a suffocation hazard.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wasn't it?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it's not for the cat then what the fuck is it for?!

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

This is why I imgur.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My cats did the same until I brought the baby home. They run if we enter the room with him.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

3spoopy5them.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was just going to say the same. My cats hate my daughter.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

We are to the point where one likes him, the other hates him, and attacks the other cat after she is around him. It's getting ugly.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My cats just keep their distance now. She's two now and absolutely loves them but they still don't want to know. Unless she has food!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't go a day in my life with some animal curled up to me. My old cat Kwaka Lukka Mukka Muku slept with me for 12 years. (He died at 16)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your kids gotta learn real life You don't have a bed your pet has as many beds as there are in the house and you can use that parts it isn't

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Before my cat became an outside cat, he'd lay next to baby daughter, would hiss at anyone who went near her except for me.Swiped at dad once

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

hope your kid isn't allergic to cats

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fur babies!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Put a large piece of cardboard with double sided tape (face up) so your cat gets sticky paws. Cats hate it and will learn to stay out

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

My cat ate the sticky tape off the arm of our chair. He gave no fucks.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW!!! *shakes paw furiously to get tape off*

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is very sweet, but I'd recommend training your cat NOT to get into the crib from day one. It needs to be a no go area.

10 years ago | Likes 311 Dislikes 14

Funny story. When I was born my grandfathers cat tried to smother me at least a dozen times fucking asshole.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My cat hides whenever children come over, and I honestly am so glad. No pulled tails, no surprise biting.

He had to live that long, since he needed some time till you finished to call him. Marquis du Muku.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It was Muku for short. My dad used his name to get free sample items in the mail and for years we got diapers addressed to Muku as a joke.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you Hawaiian?

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

No. My brother wanted Shredder and I wanted Princess and my dad pulled that name from his ass as a joke and it stuck. It was Muku for short.

Please do not advocate keeping cats in the crib. Even though it supposedly worked all the time for you, there is a serious chokimg risk

And that mentality is why child protective services exists

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Many cats will do forbidden things when you aren't present, tho, so the mesh lid for the crib might be the best solution.

10 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

There is an Adrian Mole reference here somewhere but I'm too tired for it. (Adrian Mole by Sue Townsend)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Have you read The Queen and I? So much fun!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I like the idea of having a lid for my child.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Why not? :o I used to sleep with my cat all the time when i was in teh crib o:

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 10

Your parents are kind of foolish, aren't they?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

mine? no theyre pretty awesome o:

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Suffocation. Toxoplasmosis. Flea bites. Worms. Allergies. Overheating. Aggression. Infection.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 5

You know how they say that now everything you eat gives you cancer and everything you do kills you? It's like that. We're becoming pussies

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

Saving this to show my husband this comment thread. He thinks it's harmless. I strongly disagree.

10 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 5

Yes, I've gotten depressing stories from friends

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Cats can lay down on the babys head for warm. Babys have died because of this, dont leave the cat and the baby alone!

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

The same thing happened with my moms cat when I was younger. She always slept in my crib and when I was born she was kicked out and HATED 1/

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

2/ me. She tells me story of the cat trying to attack me when I was younger. Not a good thing.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Good compromise is to wait until the baby can turn its head

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Cat can suffocate ur new born. Smells the milk in baby's mouth, tries to get said milk, baby can't breath.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 26

It's nothing to do with the milk, it's the warmth of the baby.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I don't know why this is downvoted, my cat tries to sleep on my face. It could easily do the same thing to a baby, who can't push it off.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

It's because it's misinformation. My cat does the same on my face and suffocation is a real concern, but not because of the milk smell

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dont get it either! My bad for speaking lol. Fuck it. N yea it's very possible! To hell with trying to inform people about anything

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Rule no 22 of imgur. Don't say anything bad about cats.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why?

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

Cats like the warmth of babies and lay on them, unintentionally killing them. Had it happen to my little sister, we got the cat off in time

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I've had a kitty attempt to lay on the face of my baby. This is not worth the risk as a sleep deprived new parent. People aren't infallible.

10 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

Makes sense.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's just natural for a cat to want to sit or lay on something warm, like a baby. If they're too heavy they'll suffocate the baby

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Also cats are habitual in sleeping spots. It's a bad idea to let the cat think that is an okay place to sleep.

10 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Hence the old wive's tale of cats stealing the breath of infants. themoreyouknow.gif

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That's about them doing it on purpose not an accident while snuggling

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Because a cat will happily suffocate a baby by lying on its face.

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

No this article isn't talking about accidental suffocation, most cats don't have a maternal instinct to be careful around babies

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right, because kittens are born able to move around, unlike babies who are unable to do any useful moving.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My cats were in the crib until the baby came home. They are doing great together. Cats +babies = awesome

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 10

Not when the cat accidentally curls up on the babies face.

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

My cats don't curl up on faces

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 12

My cats don't curl up on faces

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 15

Then again I am allergic to cats and bunnies and dogs don't usually climb into cribs. :/

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Neither did my mom's cat with me when I was a baby, until one time. They don't do it to hurt, but they don't get that a human their size 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

is too weak to readjust if they are suffocating under them. 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't ever be able to put my trust in how my animals sleep above the life of my baby.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

I'm planning on saving money by putting my baby in my dogs crate at night. I mean he's never killed a baby so far!

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Brilliant! The doc said no blankets but didn't say anything about cats. I can save money on heating
