That's sparktacularly good
LAJen
Do you have to worry about the sparks damaging the cars' paint jobs?
ZirconiumX
TIL opening portals to alternate dimensions creates a pretty sparking effect.
labtob

goldenretrievers
How....how do you do this?

Let's play! I spin poi, and love long exposure photography. Steel wool is awesome, just gotta keep it moving! SCIENCE! These = stunning.

Oh good lord that zoom is glorious!
abirduphigh
Thanks for pointing that out! I totally forget that good zooms do indeed come along once in a while.

maybe this helps too
WhosBarryBadrinath
put steel wool into a wire whisk, attach whisk to a rope/leash, light steel wool on fire and spin it in circles to send sparks flying
zebil
you got a pic of pre-lighting? how long does it last? what was your shutter speed? 2nd to last is my favorite.
WhosBarryBadrinath
sparks fly for maybe 8 seconds, I try to have a 10-15 sec shutter speed. I don't have any before pics but if you google it theres a bunch
zebil
Thanks! i'll have to play with this a little later
WingedBull
What aperture and ISO? I'm afraid to have overexposed "flames" when doing this
HylianWarrior
pretty much do a low ISO and aperture. You may have to play around with it.
