I REAAAALY want to cut off an arm just so I can have a bionic arm.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Omfg it says Deus Ex on it

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Totally awesome. I wonder if it was donated.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And that's the state of media today. They misspelled "badass".

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some kids have all the luck.

"You won't believe what she does with it" - most media's title

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

"That's my fetish" - how a pedotechnophile would title this probably.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

"Deus ex mankind devided prosthetic arm" in case anyone wonders

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nah, nah, the media never hates on little girls.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She totally asked for this,

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Truth be told, once prostethics advance enough where even commonly available ones are augments rather than crutches, I'd replace a limb or 4

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd definitely want to go for something like an Echo-eye from Borderlands.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Aw did she try to bring her mother back to life too?

9 years ago | Likes 189 Dislikes 6

NO. YOU DON'T GET TO HIJACK THIS. IT HAS DEUS EX WRITTEN RIGHT ON THE PROSTHETIC. GODDAMN WEEABOOS STEALING CYBERPUNK'S THUNDER

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

If we're doing role reversal wouldn't it be "Bring dad back to life?"

Shit i would kill to be like Edward that boy is the GOAT

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

too bad there was no empty suit of armor around. rest in piece, little sister

9 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 0

"Rest in piece". I mean as long as there was no dismemberment I guess that's true.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No, because that took the leg not the arm >:I

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it literally cost Ed an arm AND a leg (along with Al's body), and I haven't even watched the series! -.-;

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

The arm got taken stuffing Al into the armor

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sinister? Come on.. that's clearly the right arm. Looks pretty frickin' sweet though.

Lol my gf got the joke. Goddamn med degree

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn that's a good joke.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only understood this one because an instructor once randomly explained why people throw salt over their left shoulder.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... I snickered. Either I'm a colossal nerd, or... no, no I think that's the only answer.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

This made me lol. Ok not OL but L

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hehehehehe. I know this because Shakespeare in highschool.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No fma references

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was clever as hell. Well done.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Clearly dexter, she must have a dark passenger

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i know this from briefly studying Latin, but i remember it well enough to get the joke from reading Miéville

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like how everyone going about "obscure Latin jokes" ignores basic Italian will do just as fine

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

+1, good fellow!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I must admit... I snickered :) that is obviously Dexter

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Never watched it - grew up as a lefty surrounded by language teachers, the most sinister of the children.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People think this is the old language when it's actually still in common use. Ambidextrous means having two right hands.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(Let's try again.) Dexter jokes about the arm and the serial killer. (Goddamn I need a nap.)

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Latin Jokes!! +1 friend!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If they sent the wrong arm, she really would be Ambisinister

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

haha. i got that thanks to Dan Brown. i keep recommending him to others.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A Latin joke? 0.01% of the Imgur audience is going to love that!

9 years ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 4

Caecilius est en atrio delectat canem quod grumio es en atrio or something

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is that Ecce Romani I see? Hail, countryman!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, the organic chemists will get it, too. There's got to be a few of those about.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are literally Xs of us.

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Don't you mean XIIs of us?

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Good catch.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that where sinis comes from? Latin? Huh, I always thought it originated in the witch trials, claiming left handed were evil or "sinister"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not studied in Latin, but I believe left is "sinister" and right is "dexter". It may well have later connected to superstition.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well it most certainly did, so much so that the definition of sinister solely means things that are spoopy, and not hands.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It had the same connotations in Latin as well.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was VP of my Latin club in high school and a lefty. Funny stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, they wouldn't. This title is stupid.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 5

You're right, they would call it a white nationalist symbol.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

Yea it ruins the photo a bit. Don't use a little girl with a disability as a way to get your point about the media across.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Upvoted this and downvoted the image, because despite being a cool pic, the title is fucking dumb.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think @OP is just race baiting because the prosthesis is black.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She didn't ask for this.

9 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

She is smiling. She DID ask for this.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Nobody does, but she's moving on and that's very important.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

....it was a reference to Deus Ex. The name of the video game that actually appears on her prosthesis.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't know that, never played the game :D

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Deus Ex - kids edition.

9 years ago | Likes 242 Dislikes 1

Mankind Divided sposored this, so actually, yeah, that's exactly what this is.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If I recall correctly, this is actually called "the jensen arm"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She never asked for this.

9 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

They released their game in August. Aug-ust.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heh

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well she didn't ask to lose her old arm, but she might have asked for that badass prosthetic after she lost it.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Neither Adam jensen

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Jensen is a little bitch. You don't hear Dreadnoughts complaining. Often.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Don't you talk shit about inspector gadget.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Finally a prosthesis which actually looks badass. Gotta love Deus Ex.

9 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 0

Overwatch also has some sweet designs in that regard.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There are some that look really cool. There's a dude that does "designer" leg prosthetics and they're actually not insanely expensive.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep Eidos Montreal and Square Enix did good. They did good.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Eh. Fuck square enix. They'll never live up to the original without drowning it in DLC and shit business practices.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just meant in the fact that they helped Eidos present real augments with a company to help people.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shame that she'll have to buy the rest of her fingers for the 29.99...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There are some badass prosthesis available nowadays. There are semi-realistic ones too, but some people choose these now.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I agree with @Flu1d, I'd much rather have a badass looking prosthesis than those so-called "realistic" ones.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Back in the day, amputee kids might have been marginalized for being different. Now it is all "awesome robot hand!" >>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Saw a girl with a hot pink plastic prosthesis. I'm sure she got some attention there.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure what your point is, but yeah.
