If it'll bring an end or even just a reduction in animals suffering from content farmers putting them in peril or emotional abuse for clicks It's really a greater good over all.
I've seen about 15 variations of a little dog barking at a big dog through a glass door, then the owner opens the door and the little dog gets scared. If you're gonna make AI slop, at least make original AI slop.
There’s an ai video going around of a Lion in a safari park putting its baby on a lady’s lap in a tourist vehicle. The vehicle seems endless in the background, an open windowed tourist “tram” doesn’t make sense in a safari park. The lioness is unnaturally large. The baby has 10 toes on each foot, and seems to be made of latex. None of the words visible are WORDS, etc. all the standard “Ai” crap. My parents are CONVINCED it’s real.

AI should only be used to make talking dog videos
codybanks21
There is no way in hell the video I saw of an adolescent tiger taking his BAR exam and passing was fake! I won’t believe it!

I’m highly skeptical of the fluency of the penguin’s French as well.
MapleSyrupMafia
I'm barely using FB anymore (the usual friends and family excuse...) and holy shit is it cancer. Reels that you can't disable are nothing but AI slop.
TheGriffin
Like who fucking generates ai cat videos. CT videos are the backbone of the internet!
ByThePowerOfSCIENCE
yeah!

That was not a penguin. It was a mime in a penguin suit. But the beret was real.

HandsomePenguin
Actually, the penguin was real. It was the beret that was a guy in a suit.

Cute animal videos has always been suspect, one way or another. There are some excellent genuine videos. But there's always been a dark side.

I can always tell if I'm wanted in Paris...

How you ask? I'll get a French Letter with 'come' in it.

You mean to tell me that the video I saw of a Walrus operating heavy machinery could have be AI?
MapleSyrupMafia
It's allowed to operate heavy machinery as long as it didn't take medications that specifically says not to.

That was my sister, you cur!

I'm afraid so. In reality he's not even certified.

As much as I hate AI, animal videos and pics used to involve abuse or dead animals posed and glued into position. Of the two...
Snooj
You can hate both. It's totally acceptable.

You mean the baby elephant wasn't caught on a security camera in Maine bouncing on a trampoline?

Detacheddavid
I have seen several versions of animals bouncing on trampolines: rabbits, kangaroos, beavers, a deer, bear ... Now I don't know which is the real one.
Telemapus
That's fake because it's beret/bread/Paris. If it was backpack/fish/Japan it would be real: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11xs9mFKObs

My fave TNG era movie
Fidregore
"From HELL'S HEART I stab at Thee!!!!”
"Dude, you got unresolved trauma you should deal with."
"Yours is a primitive era. You could never understand 24th century problems such as making them PAY for what they've DONE."
