I wish this was taught to kids. I rewatched Static Shock, and they taught kids to basically "run away and freak out" if there's a gun

#5: You are financially responsible for whatever happens once the bullet leaves the barrel.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rule 5: Don't do stupid shit.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We have 7 firearm rules

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Rule 0: ban all guns!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Rule 7. Double tap.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Double rack the slide and finger bang the bullet hole for maximum safety before you decide to dry fired.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

"Know your target".. dammit, I hate social interaction!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Golden rule: Don't have a gun if you don't need one.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rule 6: move to a country with a sensible gun policy. Like anywhere except America.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

KEEP YER BOOGER-HOOK OFF THE BANG SWITCH 'TIL YER READY TO BRING THE HATE!

This one's a keeper.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yeah what he said. What he say?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Is that Army or Marines?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never heard this dumbshit line once until I got out. Only heard morons trying to look cool say it.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If you have a misfire, keep your barrel pointing downrange for at least 20 seconds before attempting to investigate the issue

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

To add on to that... NEVER resume firing until you've cleared the firearm and checked the barrel for obstructions.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very important rule. They had a blown up M16 hanging on the wall at one of the ranges i qual'd at, someone didn't do this and lost a hand.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stay alive: safety off, hammer back and one in the chamber.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't shoot people in the dick. That's just messed up, bro.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rule 5: Don't buy a gun.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

No, know what lies between you and your target and beyond it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

rule 0: don't own a gun

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 10

I used to load my gun and point it at myself and pull the trigger. great way to scare friends. Firing pin was always removed before handlin

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Been shooting since I was 5, did 7.5 years in the Infantry and I think that has to be one of the dumbest fucking things I've ever heard

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I won't argue with you there. Not everyone is as sane as you are.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My ex argued with me in the store when we were discussing rule 1. She didn't get a gun that day.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I once had a friend look down the barrel of a shotgun to check the quality. It was unloaded and had a chain through it, but still!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

You do that to check for corrosion and such before a purchase.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good. She didn't deserve one that day.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Jesus. Why do people argue about that all the time? "But if I KNOW it's unloaded, why can't I point it at someone?" REALLY?? You're serious?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

rules 2 and 3 do not apply in combat

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How so? It seems to me that in combat they still apply. You point at things you're willing to destroy, and you're always ready to fire.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you are always ready to fire your finger is on the trigger

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Precisely, rule still applies/is satisfied.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

or be like denmark and make it harder to own a fucking gun

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

If you outlaw firearms, only outlaws will have them.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I never said that firearms should be outlawed I just said that it should be harder to own one

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This should be required training somewhere during K12. Probably more than once.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thankfully the Boy Scouts gave my brother and I basic firearms training; the very idea of pointing a gun at a non-target is alien to us.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an Australian, i'm thankful i never had to learn these.. or practice what to do when someone was shooting up my school.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

You've never had to learn these yet. Can you guarantee that you won't ever need to know them? Pray that remains true, I'd rather be prepared

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can definitely guarantee i won't need to learn what do to when someone is at my school going from class-to-class gunning down my friends.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gun safety in general though? Thankfully will never need to learn these as a child (since i'm no longer one).

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's ok you don't need guns. In your country you can just lock people outside and eventually some bug or snake will happen by & do the job.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Shouldn't Rule 4 - knowing your target and what's behind it - come before Rule 3, which implies moving your finger over the trigger?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Order doesn't matter, it's all 4 or nothing.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its missing "keep your weapon on safe till you intend to fire"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not all firearms have a safe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know if these are in any particular order

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well they are numerical, so

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RULE 5: Never bring a gun to a knife fight.... Wait that doesn't sound right

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

bring an octopus to a knife fight, confuse them, then win or escape

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

RULE 5: ALWAYS bring a gun to a knife fight.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Rule 6: ALWAYS bring a knife to a knife fight too.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I brought the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. WHAT DO

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Treat Never keep Keep

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

YouTube king's cadence.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Treat Never Keep Keep Know*

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Know your target is kind of an unnoficial rule (at least when I learned it in the military) but yes still important to always remember

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Nope

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This isn't a rule. Half my guns don't have safe toggles

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The glock 19 I carry doesn't either, this rule is just drilled into my head from the Marine Corps

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never play Russian roulette with a semi auto

9 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 1

Why not? That way, everybody wins!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No the rule is, if you play Russian roulette with a semi auto never go first.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't Cobain play a version of that?

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

no there was a guy in another band who had a reputation for playing Russian roulette and one day stuck a semi-auto to his head and everyone>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

was like don't do it and he was like relax its not loaded, then he pulled the trigger and blew his brains out

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember it being a shotgun

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Yeah, you could say he had a certain Heming-way of doing things.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

there is a revolver shotgun http://modernfirearms.net/shotgun/rus/mts-255-e.html

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly, a version of Russian roulette

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I know I'm tearing into a joke on top of another joke here, but it actually WAS a semi-auto shotgun

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty old school shotgun huh?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it was a Browning A5, first produced in 1905 but it's technically still in production. No clue how old the one he used was though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, fair enough then :p
