Same, except mine was a relay. Somehow, mechanics overlooked it

I've become a halfway decent car mechanic just with YouTube videos

Think of all the gas money you saved.

I have spent many a dollar on rockauto, great website.

Fixed my dryer for 20cents, a YouTube view, and 3 hours of my life. GE would've charged around 200$ to come fix it. Love that shit. +1

Even the connector has a surprised look on his face.

Two-way female. Nice.

Heads up: Looks like you have a cold solder on the red-to-green splice, turn up the heat and blast it with hot air again.

my sister let me borrow her car with broken A/C once... I noticed the belt was completely stretched, bought a new one for a few bucks...

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

returned it to her with the A/C blasting... was a great moment!

What was the $$ on labor?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Idk why or how this is on the front page but I like it.

My Rocky went in for a new turbo - it came back with working AC! I bought it, knowing the AC wasn't working. I was a tad confused

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MFW all I needed was a $15 connector to fix my AC.

Aw, is baby gonna cry?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's like Pikachu face but with tears and not Pikachu.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see a crying baby. Maybe a crying ghost baby like in the video game Ouija episode of Aqua Teen.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Excellent. And not one 10mm was lost I persume?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice! Did you get the 2-way female AND the male and female set? Pretty sure I saw that movie.

4 years ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 2

Heh heh. 2 way female.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The one on rock auto was for the car side of the harness. I needed the compressor side and they don’t sell that.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

If only replacing head gaskets was this easy.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Mine was stuck on hot for 3 uears b/c of a faulty switch in the pannel. 15 dollar part and 200 in labor to take the dash apart and replace.

My type of mate? Two way female black

That oil filter has been there for a while hasn't it?

Plug looks like a judgemental father in law.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great job @op, you got it working that's what matters

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My A/C hasn't worked since 2008...I'm thinking now my car didn't come with A/C.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for Rock Auto.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I second that! Great selection, fast delivery, better than the local stores.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not sure why you got down voted for speaking the truth.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I buy ACDelco parts for my car and it's 70% less than the ones I see on AutoXone's web site.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

AutoZone* damn thumbs.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lots of cars have a cabin filter, if you didn't know about this, you should probably change yours.

4 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 1

It's frightening when you buy a used car & change that for the first time!

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Oh ya

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was extra frightening with my current car, as I went to change it and found no trace of either it or the housing it was supposed to be in!

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

...since it was bought new.

Happener to my sister. 6 years with a broken house AC. Spend however much on window ac cuz "cant afford to fix the big one"

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was a 75$ bill in the end. She must have spend 500 on windows ac

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*surprised connector face*

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take off your God damned ring when working in tight spots... A degloved finger is never good for anyone involved. Glad you fixed the AC tho

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can’t say for sure but looks like a silicone ring to me. Looks just like mine and will rip if it were to get caught in anything.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I get chills when seeing rings in tight spaces.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too bad it only took 5 years

4 years ago | Likes 447 Dislikes 1

Had to wait for the kid to grow up enough to hold the flashlight steady...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was wondering that as well. After 5 years of no AC, why look at it now?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do it right away when you can wait untill you sell it?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What? Are you wishing it would have took more time?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

...and did it cost $300 labor to find the bad connector?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

ya...i mean 1st thing you should do is check the connector.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Heh... My 2003 Chevy Trailblazer has been sitting for almost 2 years with the key stuck in the switch and a dead battery. 1/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Due to my being poor, I just resigned myself to the possibility that it was gonna be an expensive repair...2/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had friends with more wrench-turnin' knowhow than myself take a look at it several times. Nothin'. 3/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One told me I'd have to R&R the steering column. Something that I didn't want to do. At all. 4/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yesterday, my rommies friend came by and got it runnin in less than 1/2 hour. No charge. 5/

Q! Tire light keeps blinking and staying on. I’ve checked that tires are at right pressure(s). Is it a definite reader malfunction?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That means you need to swap from summer air to winter air.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

One, or more, of the tire pressure monitor sensors sensors(TPMS) probably has a dead battery.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it a simple fix for someone w/little automotive experience and basic tools or am I looking to drop some $$$? :/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Buy a $3 roll of black tape and put a but over the light, and it will be fixed.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you want a proper fix. need to buy a new sensor, work out what one is faulty, remove tyre from rim, replace sensor and balance tyre

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have to remove a tire to change it.

My radar detector and sub both gave out within about a month of each other but my amp is still powering so i suspect a short or a bad fuse?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It definitely sounds like the circuit is overloaded. Your sub should be isolated.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Whats the best way to find out? Voltage meter?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Un plug the sub & see if the detector works/unplug detector & see if sun works.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive done that and neither come back on

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*sub (I hope the sun still works)
