I got to the FP thank you all!
And congrats on Today's Best Comments Sir/Madam @Saxon99 https://i.imgur.com/u76bHWk.jpg

Now i kinda wish i had gotten one of those packets to trade for a obscene amount of money/items that someone with no willpower would give

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

All because of a fucking idiotic show.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You just don't get it. I know because i totally get it and it's genious. Or you know.. It's completely idiotic, but entertaining.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It's not genius, it's fucking idiotic. Shut your whore mouth.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This was a joke post she originally made on Facebook. Kind of funny/sad that "news" sites don't realize that.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

Assuming you are correct (I don't know myself), this is a great example of why posting a source doesn't prove that something is true.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The girl in the picture commented in /r/RickandMorty how it went viral & she had to explain to her family that it was a joke.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The number of people saying she got a bad deal because the cars old or gonna need work. She traded a car for a dipping sauce. Reality check

8 years ago | Likes 317 Dislikes 6

Sell it for scrap for a few hundred at least, do some leg work and sell the parts for a thousand or more.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

even if she sells it for scrap she made 100,000% profit. Jesus, I thought the Twinkie stories were ridiculous a few years ago ...

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

No, she traded a dipping sauce for a car.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

Apparently, some people struggle with the meaning of the word "for."

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

our world is fucked.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

God how much i hate the rick and morty fanbase.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I see no clear winner

8 years ago | Likes 541 Dislikes 20

McDonald's. Free advertising on Imgur.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If she didn't sell the sauce she would have gotten 2 golfs

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This comment needs to be at the top hahahahaha

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Especially not the guy this car was stolen from.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a VW Golf GTI

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

How can u tell? Its definitely a Golf 4, i got one myself.. Sure the inside doesn't look like a GTI

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think its a Golf 4 cityline

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've won. Many times. Every time in fact. This was, you're right, the WORST deal. I'm a deal maker. I would've made a much better deal. #sad

Some Rick and Morty fans are alarmingly impressionable. It's a damn sauce! A McD dipping sauce! Smh..

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 4

eBay... photos of the sauce sold for hundreds.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"B-but Rick and Morty fans are intellectuals tho!"

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I appreciate that you said "Some Rick and Morty fans" and not just "Rick and Morty fans".

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Labeling all for the acts of a few or even most is lazy logic imo.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Teenagers? Impressionable? Inconceivable!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They exist in every fandom but SW may have lost the title of most due to this bonkers sauce.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rick and Morty is constantly making fun of people like this, it's so funny to see "big" fans acting exactly like Jerry.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Is this all due to Rick&Morty?! If not I have no idea what's going on. If so I have no idea what's going on..

I miss my Mk4....great car.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

One red paperclip anyone?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Plot twist. Her job was to distribute the limited edition dipping sauce to the stores but didn't.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The saddest part of this story is McDonalds is brining back the Szechuan sauce. Kinda like paying $5k for Twinkies and they came back.

8 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

This is from when they brought it back. It was available for one day like a week or two ago. And the next day they said it'll be back again.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I had a Twinkie a few weeks ago. It’s not that great let’s be honest.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Not anymore :'(

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Twinkies have always been better in concept than in your mouth.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the world is full of fools. Remember the folks who paid to have a hole dug and then filled in?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

but waiting in line for one was basically like waiting for them to hand you a couple thousand dollars

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This. They're bring it back for a limited time in December I believe

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

She's more of a cartoon than the sauce container

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Business Insider already pointed out that no title traded hands, this is viral news meant to be viral not actually a thing that happened.

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 2

no, it is just a lie

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Viral means its a lie to sell ad revenue. Its a lie people are profiting from.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Viral news aren't supposed spread random shit as "news". Ment to be viral? As in it's ok to spread shit as news as long as it's ment viral?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Several beers later and everything makes sense. I guess I'm going to become an alcoholic.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am unable to decipher the message behind these sentences. Will have a few drinks and get back to this to see if it makes more sense.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No as in the people involved engineered a scenario they knew would "go viral" rather then an actual event that happened that was reported on

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well obviously, but i thought you were giving excuses to shitty clickbait journalism that doesn't even bother to check if something's real

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh my bad I should have been more clear. Yeah I hate the viral newscycle and how it can be played like that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup! Fake news is a real issue and it doesn't help that some 20y old children play journalist, making "funny" stories without fact checks.

The guy who knows the car is getting ready to grenade itself.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

She looks like the Epitomy of Tumblr

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Did you just assume its pronoun?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Epitome* Thats how you pronounce it, but its written with an e. Also, I agree.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah thx my English skills betrayed me again

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The fan base of that show is slowly becoming more and more cancerous every day

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 12

Minions are already on thier way to your house to kill you.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Just like the people from my little pony or sonic "oc" stuff

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Slowly" ya...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It makes me sad, the show itself is brilliant. But the fans are giving shitty impressions to people who don't watch it. Cults suck.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 8

Cults?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ran out of space to fully articulate, but basically any fan base that cultivates an identity around watching a tv show. Cult-ish...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you not a Rickandmortyite? A Rickandmortyarian? A Rickandmortyling?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also it’s a very small percentage of people, like all groups there are “extremists”.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 11

No its the other way around mate. A small group are not retarded and wait in line for 10 hours for a pack of fucking sauce

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Who cares? You don't have to interact with them, just enjoy the show

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 29

No, you absolutely have to interact with the fans and have them influence with your enjoyment of the show. Didn't you know that? (/s)

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 11

I haven't even watched one episode and I know more about it than about some shows that I have watched, because of the cancer fanbase.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 7

How? On the internet?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because in every second dump there is a R&M joke, at every given time there is something about it on the FP, and the memes are more 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

omnipresent than GoT right now wherever you go. I can't escape this shit. 2/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't understand where all these fans are you people are complaining about. I hear more complaining about the fans than the fans themselfs

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

But few nihilists truly believe and follow that stance.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I watch all 3 seasons in a binge, I enjoyed, it had its moments, but it's not the most amazing thing ever like everyone makes it out to be.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

i think the problem is that the show made the sauce matter, while at the same time making everything not matter.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absurdism. When nothing matters you have to find meaning in something useless. It makes sense for Rick's character.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The point of the show is that Nihilism is bad. Even if you have the universe at your fingertips family and relationships are what make you

farming is a good counter to that. "I'll take one power armor for 1500 melons"

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's fucking teriyaki and ketchup, wtf.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Last I checked, even the most desperate of sales on Ebay was selling a packet at like $250-$300 max. So she got a car for ~$250 or less.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I paid 340 for mine so... not too unrealistic I suppose

You mean really high. She got a car for some dipping sauce. She maxed out barter and speech

8 years ago | Likes 956 Dislikes 20

Hax

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

as far as i know the sauce went for far more on ebay

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Think they meant the other end of the deal

8 years ago | Likes 665 Dislikes 1

I think you think when I dip you dip we dip...

8 years ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 2

But did you put your hand up on my hip first?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This NPC took the player for a ride. But yeah I meant the other end of the deal, the person who lost their car for a once use sauce.

8 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 2

Maybe its a single-serving car

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

However, i belive the sause will rise tremedously in value over time. Saw a bottle of it go for 17,000 dollars

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Dude, it's not wine... it expires about as quickly as any other sauce with 15%+ sugar content

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but odds are they are gonna produce more

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Going to be returning semi permanently this winter

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Once again, the conservative, sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...you should definitely invest in this. 20k is not too much to pay. ignore the people who say it's coming back permanently, soon.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A bottle of 20+ year old sauce that is probably not fit for human consumption. Or you can wait till they release it again in a couple months

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

and comes from mcdonalds so probably should still avoid

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

We all know the person is hoping to make a bigger profit off the sauce than he would have from selling their car.

8 years ago | Likes 744 Dislikes 14

can't wait for the hype to fail and next week he sets up the ebay auction, earning 65 cents (minus fees)

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I imagine sooner since mcdonalds said they were bring it back for longer than a day next time, and the time frame was simply "a lot more"

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Might be a she

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was thinking the same thing! Dope

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Golf is worth about 1100 after checking google. Not that much.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That girl made the worst trade deal in history of trade deals, maybe ever!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How do you know that he is a co-owner of the car?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

Your pedantry over pronouns is tiresome.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Co-owner? Where was that insinuated?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The word “Their” is plural

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 19

"Their" is possessive, not plural. Where did you go to school?

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

i mean... it can be both. where did -you- go to school?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It is actually possessive and plural. His or her would be correct but that's like people bitching about "whom."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Didn't someone sell a pack for like 10k on ebay?

8 years ago | Likes 268 Dislikes 1

Before or after mcdonalds announced that after the whole debacle of the one day the sauce was available that they're bringing it back

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

only one i heard was 3 for 800

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seriously what is the big deal?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Rarity and desire from those with expendable income. Same as any collectable.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

now they sell for about 60 bucks....and the thing about them coming back in December.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I thought that was one of the big bottles?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The auction may have ended at that price, but the buyer likely never paid.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

How does that work? Do you have to pay if you're the winning bid?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If you don't pay you can get negative feedback on your profile. Ebay will ban people who do it intentionally or frequently.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You’re supposed to, but not like you’ll go to jail for not paying. You would get a strike, 2 or 3 times you will be banned from eBay.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That's funny considering that the sauce is coming back this winter...Rick did it.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 3

I wish Roiland and Harmon had the balls to cancel the show. That would be the ultimate troll.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

People would freak out, shit would hit the fan. Would be funny as hell but it's too funny to quit now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I too wish for things I like to stop.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I dont WANT it to stop, but the whole reason the sauce matters is the meta joke about bringing it back. Once its back, canonically

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I actually find it legit frightening how people are so heavily influenced by a TV show. I mean I love R&M but holy shit.

020 was a 5 speed so..

Nonetheless, I am saying in general. Also changing the gear oil in a manual isn't a half bad idea either.

Go to your local racing/speed shop, get a couple of gallons of racing alcohol.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

No inspections in my state.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure you could get at least several hundred even just junking it, let alone selling

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just live in Texas. We encourage you to roll coal.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean...VW cheated the tests so their cars would be more powerful and fuel efficient so why bother?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Haha smog check.. I love it!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There’s a good number of states that don’t require any inspection whatsoever

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And two months after you pass inspection, the goddamn check engine light comes on and costs you another 2 grand. Source: I have a Passat.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Same with Audi

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's old enough that it doesn't have a computer to detect a smog check and change the engine output.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plastidip and tacky wheels... yup. However I don't know any of the cars history so we can't just assume it

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How can you have a car like that fail a check but have other cars converted to run on coal? Is this a different states thing?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes some states have no car checking requirements at all.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Totally thought your username was “potato haircut”. Wondered what that meant - realised I’m an idiot.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

KBB on a MK4 non-GTI is also only $800-1300 for good shape. I'd guess this has a value of $300-400.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So an incredible trade for a packet of sauce haha

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Well, sure. But some of them were going for about twice that on eBay. Still a good deal though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't get why VWs have such a bad reputation, is it a North America thing? in the UK they're thought to be fairly reliable cars

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'm sure the fact that they developed technology to precisely cheat pollution readings in thier TDI line doesn't affect public opinion.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

In the UK they mostly have cheap marginal cars or BMW/Mercedes(love them until they break)cars, to compare VW's to.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

a lot of the VW's in N. America are built in Mexico, mine is a VW Golf Variant TDI, no problems and good on the autobahn (live in Germany)

That's because you use the metric system. My VW has 315,000 miles on it. That's like 17 million kilometers, give or take.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yep. The models are also different in North America.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not many trained VW specialists, so labor costs are way high. I love mine - but I’m the mechanic. 2001 1.8t Turbo beetle in vortex blue.

Parts can also be difficult to get, depending on location.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My dad's Jetta had 14,000 miles on it and 3 major things wrong already. VW beetle of my aunt's had 3 transmission rebuilds.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My jetta has 280000 and the only thing wrong so far was an oil leek 3 weeks ago

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The other comments are leading me to believe VW's reliability is questionable in the US but good elsewhere. Where (country) do you live?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

as a north american, i'm unfamiliar with the extent of spite for vw expressed in these comments. vws i've owned have been v reliable cars

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

North America has very little comprehension of how the industry operates.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

North America still thinks Chrysler is "American"

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

otoh i make windshields for american, japanese, korean, and german cars

Checking...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good thing we don't do that in Michigan. Woooo pollution! wooooooooooooooooo!

8 years ago | Likes 547 Dislikes 10

As an Illinois resident, I too do not have to worry about catalytic converters or smog pumps.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This chick lives in my area.. neat.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You guys must be saving the economy so much there

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*cough*

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Florida too!! You want to run open exhaust headers and purple lasers for headlights? No problemo. No inspections. Lots of tickets though.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pro Tip for ontario, buy a car from 1987 or older and you dont have to do an emissions check

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

this plus the water in Flint, I'm surprised your state still has people in it, figured all y'all woulda been poisoned to death a while ago.

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 10

Lol, no. Pollution isn't a very big issue here. Our cars rust away before they become a pollution concern.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Poisoned water, Detroit and Polution. Can it get any better?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey now, we do recycle soda cans so we can get the 10 cent deposit back. At least we're trying.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

The north makes us strong. Strong and stubborn.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, most things including the "water crisis" are exaggerated

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

Let me guess, you also "believe" the earth is flat and a slew of conspiracy theories. U r 2edgy4me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Earth is round, I live near Flint and know people who work with DEQ

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But who cares, anyone can believe whatever they want

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Are you guys Nords?

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

As an outsider living in MI, yes. They are Nords.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Michigan belongs to the Nords!

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Looks old enough, wouldn't VW be responsible for paying that?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Audi's? More like 'ow, dees' repair bills are killing me. (VW's use Audi engines)

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

VW owns Audi.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

if you have half a brain, VWs are some of the easiest cars to work on.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

German engineering

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Germans realizing people will actually spend their own money to be tortured. They're evolving

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They own Audi Porsche Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley, and Ducati.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i wish VW used the AAN.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While the AAN is a sweet engine, pulling one from an S6 Avant was a giant pain.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

did you not service mode the car?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i wasnt there when my buddy swapped into his s6, but pulling from the S4 was one of the easier jobs ive ever done with just jackstands,

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

or are we just talking about the clusterfuck of a process for turbo removal lmao, "heat up a crescent wrench and bend it at this angle"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doesn't matter. Drive it immediately to a place like CarMax and sell it. You just made 100% profit.

8 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

Now you have two packages of sauce. Woohooo!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Assuming you can get something for it

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

A clean mk4 would fetch a decent price for its age.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

CarMax takes pretty much anything as long as it runs and isn't super old, and usually offers over bluebook.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

A scrap yard would also give more. Hell I'd give money for a car

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Carmax gave me $1200 for my '07 cobalt with warped rotors/check engine/~98k miles. They're pretty forgiving haha

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

They really are. I got $5k for a 2001 tundra with 250k miles on it and a bad catalytic converter.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Wow that's awesome! My credit is shot and they were the group that gave me the best chance at getting a safer (and more fun) car.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tundras, tacos, and 4runners don’t count. 250k is just getting warmed up for them.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

$2,000 in parts and labor just to work right - aside from any smog checks. VW's are great cars to lease, not to own.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

They are quite reliable, easy to work on, cheap parts if you are capable of using Google. What's not to like?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That absolutely was not my experience with: being part of a family-owned used-car lot for over 25 years, working as a mechanic to get ...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

myself through college, and having owned one myself. Modern VW's may have changed, but I'd need to see proof that the wiring doesn't

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

still deteriorate faster than the average Asian or American vehicle.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've owned many, have not had to do much of anything to them. They are great cars to own.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

i know right? mines 35 years old, odo broke at 280k, and its JUST NOW being refreshed.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is not at all the same type of car as any 90s forward VW. The entire design philosophy is completely different, let alone the results.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ACKCHYUALLY this is not VWs fault more CAFE and the implementation of the clusterfuck that is OBD2,

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

so i just went on a schpeel but none of it is actually relevant to this except for a tiny bit where even 90s forward parts are somewhat

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still beats the hell out of an overrated packet of dipping sauce.

8 years ago | Likes 181 Dislikes 5

A $2k obligation vs a packet of dipping sauce...I'll take the packet of dipping sauce tbh

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Nobody is saying you have to drive the car, but you could probably sell it for more than the dipping sauce, which is now being mass produced

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Current scrap price is 7$ per 100lbs. ...also howdy stranger. http://imgur.com/q8cym66.jpg

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As an auto tech, I doubt it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Current price for scrapping a car is 7$ per 100lbs...

Especially since McDonald's has publicly stated they are bringing it back to all restaurants later this year...

8 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

They did?? Oh boy I'm gonna love the fucking disappointment from everyone when the nostalgia fails.

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

The sauce wasnt even that good the first time around. Its kinda gross

failed the first reply, proper sauce https://twitter.com/McDonalds/status/917169818725384192/photo/1

Whatsa smog check florida wants to know

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 3

Ask California!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

https://inhabitat.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2012/04/los-angeles-smog-1.jpg Our anti-smog programs are highly effective!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's when the radio tells you there are brush fires mixed with fog in the middle of the state. In Florida at least.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I went to vegas once, the air was so dry. FL is about 80% humid on average and 110% humid after it rains. We breath more water than air.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Your car has to see if it passes a smog emission test every time you sell your vehicle or DMV will "randomly" select you to have your car>

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

and if it fails the test?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If a car runs in Florida, we can insure it. If we can insure it we can register it. Mechanics/dealers pull service lights to bypass the CatC

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Catalytic converter

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yup when I went my skin literally dried out immediately

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tested during your yearly registration.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Here in Texas and in New Mexico you are required to have it inspected before you register it. Every year. Unless your car is from before '73

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In Denmark if your car is new, it's every 4 years and if it's older than 10 years it's every 2 years. Can't drive it without the check up

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That sucks haha!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And TX has *way* more comprehensive inspections than NM does.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only certain counties in NM, I think.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tennessee too. Although not all counties, I think.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You guys get it randomly? Here in California it’s guaranteed every 2 years

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same here in Ontario,Canada.Mandatory before a plate sticker renewal.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nashville it's every year, have to pass it to get your plates renewed. Just outside of Nashville they don't care. WV doesn't care either.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Washington state two, every other year until your car is old enough.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Too*
