Actually, there is a huge amount of evidence of corruption in military expenditure in Afghanistan.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or maybe he was saying many of the claims were total bull shit and we just handed out the money anyway.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

US troops have literally been proven to have stolen millions of dollars. That is a proven fact. This guy's bitching doesn't change that.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There have been US military personnel convicted of stealing over $50 million in Iraq and Afghanistan.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just because someone's in the military doesn't mean they're automatically more honorable. I've met some rude, lazy, fuckos since I joined1/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

2/2 three years ago, and I'm sick of those types of people demanding respect from civilians.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Are you aware of the 12-14 billion that stands unaccounted for that Bremer airlifted in in cash? The 2 billion de

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

discrepancy is a crime in itself. Some one in control of the money lost rack of the money. Who had control of the money and where did it go?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

not the soldiers, the ones who took the money, and who has the missing 6 BILLION!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I like to think my grandpa (we're Canadian) who served in Korea would be happy with the society we have today, but I think the truth was 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Even back in the mid 60s when he left the army he came back to a population that would 10-15 years later simultaneously condemn them 2/?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And support them in certain cases, just like trump, condemn them for "taking our money" but then saying we love them! 3/?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

People condemn what they don't understand, and the war you were in is young and opinions are still hot, but that doesn't change you're a vet

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And unfortunately you got the real view of what went on, we got the the Fox News view or the made for tv version in other cases

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a citizen of the UK with great respect for the USA.Im scared for America

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Take your tea tax and f' off.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 12

Rolling Stone did an excellent article on how contractors lost millions and shipped literal pallets on money over to pay.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Trump fraudulently used his buildings to collect 9/11 relief fund. So how does this man cares for this country and the citizens?

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 14

Ah yes, a con man billionaire who made a career out of bilking people complaining that some soldiers are living very well...

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 8

Given his shady business dealings, him accusing anybody of "living well" is laughable

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 8

That story aside, the idea that it's odd that a vet living well is used as an insult is appalling.

9 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 8

Trump grew up in a time when everyone pissed on homeless and broken Vietnam vets.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Anyone in this country who lives well is insulted in similar fashions tbh. Southerners will call those who start living better as uppity for

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Example. Hell, people from the ghetto insult those who get out and live in nicer areas. It's not, imo, so much a "soldiers shouldn't live

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well" thing. Moreso I think it's a "how dare people live better than me" thing.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh, interesting. I thought for years that the cultural approach or American Dream was to live like the 1% (high consumerism and all).

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's quite contradicting to what I've heard about the U.S. Especially considering how often I hear stories of people willing to help others

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

reach their dreams.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The American Dream is defined by owning a house, having a good job, and raising a family, (loosely defined as reaching goals). It's not

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's almost like a culture is multi-faceted, with various sub-groupings within the larger grouping

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This makes no fucking sense, that job was given to officers not enlisted. An area that size wouldn't be given to a fucking E-5 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 5

I mean fuck my roommate a Captain of Marines did this shit and State never let him touch the money and thorough? GTFO I smell BS. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 4

That and with the army they almost never compensate with money but with some sort of trade good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm surprised you weren't downvoted into oblivion.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too, but I mean FFS if they were giving control of the $ to an E5 I wouldn't be surprised if shit went missing. That's why they didn't.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Guy tweets frustrated anecdote in response to general statement by Donald Trump. Imgur nods head in agreement and upvotes.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

trumpeters say he's the only one who supports the troops. when pressed, they explain that they mean he's the one who will start another war.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

As a trumpet player, I hope that the term "Trumpeters" is not widely used to describe Trump supporters. Such sad, much mad, very shame.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because all our friends and family members serving in the military want nothing more than another war, right?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Rumsfeld. Donald...

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

As a non American, fuck Trump in particular. My president is in many ways worse than him but also very much alike.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 12

Where are you living? I'm curious to the comparison.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If one soldier in the Waffen-SS did his job properly, did all of them?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At E-5 he's not going to be put in charge of shit. Nice try POG.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 10

ikr

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I thought it was a bit farfetched too

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 4

I was looking for the POG call out xD it'd be some colonel or some other top in charge of whatever he claimed he ran at 21 as an E-5

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

to be fair. a lot of money went unaccounted for in Iraq. just because you did you're job properly doesnt mean someone isnt rotten somewhere

9 years ago | Likes 363 Dislikes 89

So he is preaching the choir then? That's exactly what the vet said.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 15

Generally, (besides the funds that are accounted for now), money got lost after it was handed over to the Iraqi government.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

I'd be more inclined to look at the owners of contracted companies (Dick Cheney) instead of foot soldiers working under thorough inspections

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

1/2 Because who needs to self-analyze a culture of war mongering and a military industrial complex starting unjust wars when you can just

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

2/2 shit talk the veterans who served in them and blame them unfairly because money went missing.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

IIRC, most of that was money given to subcontractors like haliburton.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

your*

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 4

Maybe the money wouldn't have gone amiss if the US had used it to improve the lives of their own people instead of killing other people

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Afghan vet here, I personally saw hundreds of thousands knowingly be given to the talib by our pos lt. col.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Found the reply threat with trump supporters

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Read Ghost Wars about the CIA in Afghanistan. A lot of money did go missing but it wasn't soldiers losing it (usually).

9 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 4

didnt say it was soldiers. the CIA can steal money as effectively as any soldier... or more so.

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 14

But trump did

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You directly implied that, jackass.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 5

yeah but to flat accuse the rank and file, without any facts in hand (as usual), is despicable 1/3

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

and on it's face disqualifies him for the office yet again. The whole operation was set up to fail on so many levels, 2/3

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

including ass-hates at the top at the time, and money driven contractors galore because we did not have the forces to do the job. 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

As the OP said, it would be a lot harder to pocket money on the side than you'd think.

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 6

But who are we to say that? It could have been easy at that time and that situation, for all we know.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Nah. There's audits. It could've happened, but forensic accounting is rather thorough

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I watched half a documentary about that. They caught the A-Team responsible and sent them to prison. I wonder how the second half ended...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Who hasn't Trump disrespected at this point. Women, Muslims, Mexicans, Soldiers...the list goes on. All around asshat.

9 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 36

You forgot about CHYNAH

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Christians, by claiming to be one and proving to be the total moron. No surprise that he showed misunderstanding of the most basic theology

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"I don't recall ever asking God for forgiveness. I like to just make it right myself and move on from there"

9 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

He's also insulted the sane, rational, and dignified as well. Anyone who favors truth and facts.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Chinese, the disabled. He's a bully. Pure and simple.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 8

But he loves China. He said it approx. 134,082 times.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

And they loved it when he mocked their accent! They didn't write a bunch of articles in newspapers, expressing their outrage.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But Chinese people love being made fun of. Chinese people specifically. Gotta make it clear that I'm definitely not not being not unracist.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They really aren't a proud people, who could never place embargoes or tariffs on us, destroying our economy.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

White, male conservatives.

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 11

As a white male who is largely conservative, I have to agree. I want a better candidate : /

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

I'm way liberal. I wish you had a better candidate too - for all our sakes. We ought to be able to respect each other even when we disagree.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Add it to the lists of reasons not to vote for the man. Doesn't matter, somehow he has captured a demographic that buy into his BS

9 years ago | Likes 435 Dislikes 55

I really hate to say it but I'd rather have Trump than Hilary.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Upvoting because I agree, but also username.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

thats called the murrrcuh demographic

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

There's a gaggle of those idiots floating around here somewhere... give it a few more minutes. They'll pop up.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 8

Hello.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yaaay!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I feel Trump supporters are the ones that caused us to have so many warning labels on things that should just be common sense.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The ignorant, whiny, "everyone but me is reponsible for my problems" crowd is larger than you'd think, sadly.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I guess it is just easy to push the blame onto other people and relieve yourself from it. It becames even more easy when someone "important"

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

like someone running for President tells you that. Gives it "validity", somehow.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've been trying to think of the proper words to describe it but I think you did a fine job.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then you have the other sides candidate and her contributions: Benghazi and Clinton Cash..

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 52

Exactly. Trump is ignorant and insulting, but Hillary lost American lives and didn't even give a crap. One of these is not like the other.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 53

No. No she didn't. Jesus fucking christ I am tired of that line of fucking bullshit.

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 14

Wow the Hillary shills are real.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

Have you read anything? I'm not posting imaginary links to imaginary shit. Dislike her all you want - Benghazi was not on her.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How can you say she was not responsible? She knew in real time what was happening and did nothing to send assistance? She was Sec of State.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 41

That's actually false. Like, demonstrably false.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 5

(2) TL;DR: No, you're wrong, the movie is wrong, she is not like on a radio telling people to not save them and all this BS.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

Looks like you got crushed by facts...

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

the people pocketing the millions were the blackwaters and oil interests. Not the vets, not the canon fodder.

9 years ago | Likes 469 Dislikes 8

So in other words, businessmen?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

kind of, the businessmen (and women) who like to have a side-job in congress, who just happen to have shares in security/materiel companies.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some did try to take Saddam's hoarded cash, and got away with it for a bit, but they all get caught. But not taxpayer money.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

nobody got away with billions of tax payer dollars? of course they did. they skimmed off the top by contracting out at local prices

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Just FYI, Blackwater renamed itself a couple times over by now. Currently they go by Academi. Just so we know what they go by now.

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

In-between they are XE Services or something like that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like they change names more often than F1 teams replace tyres.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Corporations: Have a major fuck-up? Just change your name and no one will know it was you.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's almost never the average men. It's almost always the rich and powerful that do the worst things.

9 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 1

It's almost like trump is the current embodiment of both those things....

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*absolutely is. Sorry, had to correct that for you.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's actually been studies done on this. The richer/more successful you are the more mean and self entitled you become.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

GEE I WONDER WHY

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Is it possible that the meaner and more selfish you are the more likely you are to become rich and successful?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think it works in the two directions. Making a lot of money makes you crazy.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think that's part of it. Some rich people are charitable and feel compelled to give away millions or billions. But there are others who 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are maybe only rich because they're greedy, and it seems like there are plenty of them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look at who it is that give away, though. It's typically the ones that came up from little or nothing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, you didn't get a basket of money? I thought everyone received small loans of a million dollars.

9 years ago | Likes 2231 Dislikes 33

a million dollars is a pretty small loan especially considering what he turned it into.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

You mean how if he had just put it into a basic stock index he'd be worth more today? He's a god awful businessman.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 17

Of all the things trump has said the "small" loan bit is moderately understandable. The man made his name in NYC real estate where ... 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

a million dollars might get you 2 properties if you're lucky. Real estate is a different world than personal finance.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

hahah 'small loan' gets me every time

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 3

Well, in the business he went into it is a very small loan. Doesn't excuse him for being a dick though.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

9 years ago | Likes 1073 Dislikes 34

Honestly I find it hard to believe an E5 had so much responsibility. I do believe it, but I'd figure at least an E7 would have that position

Honestly I find it hard to believe an E5 had so much responsibility. I do believe it, but I'd figure at least an E7 would have that position

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

I'm an E4 and fly on multi-million dollar aircraft, responsible for its safety and flyability. We don't all just carry guns and take orders.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have a friend who's in charge of everything behind the WO's in their helis. He's an E4. I'm military btw

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So what are you a 15T?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Maybe in the past when personnel was greater, but since the 2011 sequester all branches have been downsizing asking lower ranks to do more.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I understand that's a tremendous responsibility and a very honorable one. However I think an E5 being in charge of 5m people is more eerie

3 for duty. The nco in charge of me, once he started showing up for breakfast chow, told me i wasnt allowed to talk to anyone higher ranking

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's actually not surprising at all. Once had our E7 push a made up SHARP case so she could get the E8 slot. She failed

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

E5? E7? Excuse my ignorance... what does that mean?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's talking about the Messerschmitt bf 109 fighter plane. The bf 109E-5 wasn't as good as the Bf 109-E7 /s

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

It's the enlisted rank structure. The E stands for enlisted and the number corresponds with your rank E1 being the lowest and E9 the highest

Is it like G5 in government work?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically speaking it's more "pay grade" than "rank".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be clear, Trump is most certainly referring to this: https://i.gyazo.com/f200e7e4b41d174c272fa59c007a28db.png

Title is misleading as fuck.

Oh.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 4

Thank you.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Its funny that both Trump and this guy are sensationalizing their positions and both miss the point. Corruption happened despite there being

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

many many honorable hardworking service men and women working with US funds during the wars.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

But...but...you're not supposed to use logic and reason! You're supposed to make radical assumptions followed by aimless rants!

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 24

This isn't an aimless rant though. He made a sweeping statement, and people who did good work got reasonably upset.

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

Don't give him slack like that, destroy him by any means necessary, logical or otherwise. We're watching from north of the border like wtf...

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 19

Both are so bad I don't even think it matters anymore

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

So what do you suggest? The other front-runner is just as shitty and more than happy to rip people off.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Gary Johnson.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I suggest the American people do what the founding fathers said should be done in such a case. Toss your government and form a new one. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That will probably happen. After one of these dingdongs has been sitting in the White House and more people realize what they did. >

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not from the US but this Trump thing is beyond a joke now. Seriously how did it come to this America?

9 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 25

They thought "if you ignore him he'll go away" approach would work. Just like Chamberlain did when he declared peace in our time.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Because sadly many Americans lack any sense of perspective outside their own narrow experience. If it's different it must be bad.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

Well he's starting to do realllllly bad in the polls now, he probably hit his peak of support

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Aaaaaaaaaaand he won the presidency. Way to go guys.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The GOP has fed racists sly nods for years. Donald is just not so sly, so they love it, enough that he survived proportional primaries.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

*non-proportional

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Short version: The GOP's habit of 80-man primaries screwed them over voter pool-wise. Trump won states with 40% While Bernie lost with same.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I apologize in advance for anything he does when he is president

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Did you see the other candidates for GOP nominee? I dare say Trump was probably the lesser evil this year.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Because Trump says what he thinks. It's entirely inconsistent, but that doesn't matter, because it's not about truth, it's about sincerity.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, he's pretty awful, but it isn't as though other countries haven't made bad political choices.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 7

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

"Fringe"? He has huge support. You think nearly half the voting population in the US is hateful? Hmm.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

Rs are less than 45% of the voting population. At best, he got 40% of that. That isn't half.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

There are a lot of differing polls out there, so nobody's sure yet. But it's still a lot of Americans.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Being generous, he got 20% of the vote. And many of them were holding their noses. That isn't a lot.

He's been hurling insults at vets for a while now. I'm annoyed that veterans are automatically assumed to be right-aligned.

9 years ago | Likes 3224 Dislikes 64

Well most of the generals are, and who else do the politicians actually care about?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Neither Clinton nor Trump care for Vets. What are we to do?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Vote for someone else. Someone you like.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Johnson. But he cannot win. The vast majority of Americans seem to insist on voting in a tyrant.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well the alternative major party candidate has said "it's time the United States started thinking of Iraq as a business opportunity" so...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, in 2011, 8 years after the invasion. The idea being investment from US businesses will help rebuild the country. Why is that bad?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm insulted that you automatically assume Trump to be right aligned.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm annoyed that right-aligned people are automatically assumed to be Trump-aligned.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm right-aligned and I could never in good conscience vote for Trump. I'm very conservative, this fact does not make me stupid

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

America has taken up arms before to free themselves from a brutish tyrant. Good luck with the elections in November.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who has he NOT been insulting?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

globalism is anti nation, thus anti army (it prefers defense contractors). there is nothing appealing for the soldiers/veterans there.

Dude spent the last decade crusading to have vets removed from the street in front of Trump Tower cuz the "image" was "deplorable" for NYC

9 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 1

Has he seen New York city? They put their uncanned trash by the fucking sidewalk for pickup. It hasn't been clean since it was New Amsterdam

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Then you don't live in NYC.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most vets I've met realized the mistake of joining the military after the fact.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Is there anyone he hasn't insulted yet?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Most vets are Libertarians. Most of the left interpret us as being "right-aligned" because of this.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 8

Travel and exp. tends to push people to center. I'm not liberal enough to be perceived as left, and so I must be right aligned.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I want to know how any vet can take him seriously. I'd ask my father but he's essentially disowned his anti-trump children.

9 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

That's rough, man.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Not as rough as my pro-trump birth giver saying trump has NEVER flip flopped his speeches. Like.... what?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's the Trump way. Say things that sound nice to your confirmation bias, automatically take it as truth, then refuse to hear the contrary.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom works as a civilian teacher at a joint forces base here in So Cal. The vast majority of the military there are disgusted by Trump

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Even if they are, Trump is a special case. No sane person would vote for him.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Opposing Trump isn't a left-wing or right-wing thing. It's a right thing.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The majority are right aligned for some reason, much to my dismay.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 5

Republican presidents tend to pay the military more so a lot of military members vote for republicans.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 5

Lol WHAT? Go sit in a corner and think about your stupidity.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A lot of us travel, exp. other cultures, and become more center. Generally there's an anti-welfare sentiment too, an "earn it" mentality.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

The right supports strengthening the military, keeping guns, and reducing govt control. I can see why soldiers would support that.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

When I say government control, I mean on a social level. Not a militaristic level.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think it's mainly because Republicans are seen as the "guns" party while Democrats are the "butter" party (Poli Sci terms). Basically 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Republicans are seen as more pro-military and strong FoPo while Democrats are seen as more pro-education and domestic spending.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

the majority is rooted in the country (literally). there is nothing appealing in a globalist agenda for those people.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most people in the armed forces are southerners, it might be a cultural thing

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

You've gotten some down votes, but your are right. The South has voted consistently red since the 60's (Civil Rights Act was signed).

I think a lot of that has to do with the southern strategy

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

2 sides of the same coin.

Republicans talk a big game about "supporting our troops". Then they slash their benefits and issue substandard equipment.

9 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 3

Yeah, support the troops, but only until they are no longer that way

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
