If you don't like a highland green 60-s Mustang you have no soul.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not crazy about the angel eye headlights (not a purist either) but the rest looks great!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, that was my first car, too! Except mine was a coupe. Same year, though.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was really hoping for the transformation and was not disappointed. This is a beautiful Mustang, good work.

Had to both do a double take and come back to applaud.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks dad!!!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aw hell yeah, beautiful. 67-8? My favorite muscle cars right there.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Very nice. Clean work. Like the color too ! Not feelin the halo lights. I had a 67 coupe till 2008. So I can say that LOL.

For Everyone from the Chicago area, "is that old car worth money?"...

Victory Auto Wreckers!!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I love the color, i love the wheels, i love the headlights..... Would it be possible to show that beauty from more angles?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't have a 14K car *today*

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My first project car at 14 was $600. 12 years ago. Look at a beetle in worse shape and the cheeky fucks want $16k

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought this was a Victory Auto Wreckers' commercial. Mah bad.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Oh Imgur! I was commenting on a totally different post

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

67?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Indeed. You can tell by the faux side vents.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What the fuck! This is amazing. How much did you invest in it? @op

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

honestly not alot I would say less than 5k into it.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait! So that first picture was taken in 2008 and not 1987?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This was the original picture from the craigslist ad

One of the best looking DIY project i've seen all day!

5 years ago | Likes 205 Dislikes 1

Agreed

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Way better than crochet.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

idk man, my grandma crocheted me a lambo and it was sick

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

How do you know it's DIY? There's no in between pics :(

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Classic/muscle are of the few American cars that have my respect. Nice job

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm no expert but is this a Mustang fastback?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, I'd guess a '67 or thereabouts.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I saw a '76 once IRL. It's gorgeous. But I couldn't recall if this is the same.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Those were in the declining years. Despite the 64 1/2 beginning on a falcon chassis, it was a real looker until 69+.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Falcon platform gave us Mustang, Falcon, Ranchero and Comet. Sadly only the Mustang gets any attention.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is 14k what you paid for the car or the total investment including restoration? The car looks great btw.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

probably 19-20k overall but its worth between 40-45k right now and I havent even got to the suspension or engine mods yet.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice! What engine is in it? What are your plans for it?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's because it's levelling up.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ive always thought this about my car... like the gas tank just keeps growing cuz I push it to the limit or leaks just fix themselves...

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My first car.. 67 Impala in 1981 $300.00

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

First car was a 66 Newport a friend and I paid 100 dollars for. First car I owned I could drive was 78 pinto wagon

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My friend had a Newport. Not sure of the year, but it was shaped like a duck somewhat.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a '65 with a 327.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I had a pinto

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I drove my dads a few times

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's dozens of us!!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No shame there. Had a lot of make out sessions in the back of a pinto....back in the 1970’s. Lol

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dope. Real real dope. Always my dream car when I was a teen. Didn’t have money for it then. Good work @OP.

5 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

get it now! lol you can still find em for cheap-ish, or you can buy fully restored and pay monthly payments, like a car off the lot.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Dude! More pics please!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haha, maybe a little down the road. I got myself a newer one since I unfortunately don’t have the time to restore one.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

But I do want to restore one. I think it’s cool taking them and bringing them to life again.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

On my 2nd year of my 67 camaro resto, still doing metal work and panel replacements and fixing what i screwed up the first year, lot of work

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It’s for sure an awful lot of work. One of my family members is restoring an old 302 boss he managed to find, but it’s still far from done.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You had $14,000 at 14?

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

The real question

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Right?!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Me thinks someone overpaid if that's the before picture.

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

No shit, unless Steve McQueen was blasting farts into that thing during the chase scene in Bullitt

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Legend has it McQueen tried to buy that car back in early 70's. It recently sold for $3.4 mil. But, come on, best chase scene ever, right?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fastback shells are becoming immensely rare, at least up north. Guys will spend $15-20k to get the body if it is clean.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Now yes well its situational but back in 2008 14K for a partially completed 67 project car even if its was a vin confirmed GT they overpayed

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At a young age it was clear I was not gonna make it to college, the college fund helped out a-lot.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

I said the same thing as a d-student until i was 18, then I said fuckit and went to college. Now I'm an electrical engineer. Ya never know.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Mah man! I dropped out and ended studying EE many years later.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol I said fuck it and moved to LA to be a actor... spent 6 years fucking off and now I’m a Lab Tech at a chem plant. Life is weird.
