I love her so much
And I'm pretty sure she loves me
She outlasted any relationship I've ever had
She saw me through my late 20s
Through the entirety of my 30s
And through most of my 40s
There'll never be another her
She was my sleepy monkey
My goof
My pal
We were homeless together
She snored
And purred
18 and a half years and I had to say goodbye last Wednesday.

18 and a half years is a good long run. Be thankful for that. Kitty had a good life. Be thankful for that too. Love is too scarce, you have a love that will never leave you. Again, be thankful for that.
