Got told while walking my dog that "shelter pitbulls should be put down immediately"

This is Ralph, a 1 yo rescue and the best dog I've ever had. When walking, a lady and her kid asked what kind of dog he was. I said, I wasn't sure, because he was a rescue. She said I should've saved a "dog of value" and that pitbulls will all eventually turn on their owners.

This is us, afterwards. I'm buying Ralph ice cream for being a good boy.
