Batteries can go to a recycling center, hazardous waste disposal site and, some auto parts stores will take them (especially car batteries).

I threw away a car battery in a regular garbage can but I felt so bad that I picked it out a few hours later before the truck showed up and
brought it to walmart. Really glad I grew a conscience before I made this post myself lol.

It wasn't a tesla dude. The battery weighed like 30 pounds and is about 6"x6"x10" and it was our garbage can.

I've had to fight one of those before. Sucks when the driver doesn't realize at first, and you gotta chase it down before extinguishing it.

Nah, ends up doing more damage in the long run. Easier to extinguish early if u can.
