As an archaeologist, can confirm. What's the context?
First of all, what's wrong with swans? :) I found that while out hiking in the woods the other night.
Oh okay surface find. A swan, totally unprovoked, bit me in the crotch area once.
Fair enough. Yes it was lying in the trail. Is there anything you can discern from the point as far as age goes? Found in south east US
Not really, point styles are very regional. There's probably a typology somewhere for the region though that might help date it.
Without archaeological context typologies are the only way to really get any info on points, and I'm not familiar with the region. Sorry.
