if the only thing you can see if you look out the windows is into your neighbors house, why look out the window at all?
There's a lovely courtyard out there and they just put up Christmas lights on the bushes and doors
It's just also hard to avoid seeing into the neighbors place when looking out since they're on the 1st and I'm on the 2nd

Stop looking then or move. People have right to do whatever they please as long as it is not excessively loud.
It's a courtyard building, you'd have to never look out your own windows to avoid seeing into other people's apartments

Uh that's not right. You aren't allowed to perform lewd acts in plain view of the public just because you're on your property.
Depends on the country you live in.
In the US, in all 50 states, it is illegal.
