#1 - just because there's a war going on, doesn't mean you can neglect your duties as an apiarist.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

TIL that apiarist means beekeeper.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guy in the bush putting out the vibe! Great post.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure these are just screenshots from Battlefield 1.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The metropolitan train station sign looks exactly the same now. I was just there in August. That photo is amazing.

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Yes i work for them it's actually a rework now but they wanted to keep the same to remember the past of the metropolitain. Nostalgic company

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But according to Battlefield 1, everyone in WW1 ran around with a submachine gun. Hmm.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

booooo

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every other automatic are either auto rifles or heavy machineguns

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Youre wrong. There is only ONE submachine gun in BF1. And only one submachine gun in WW1 the same. The gun you see is the german mp18.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because sitting around rotting in a muddy trench with a bolt action rifle next to your friend's rotting corpse isn't exactly "fun"

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Depends whos asking ;D

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is really cool, wish I knew more about WW1

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Watch "the Great War" on YouTube. Started two years ago on the 100th anniv and each episode details what happened in the war week to week.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm seconding Dan Carlin's "Blueprint for Armageddon." It's basically a 20-hour lecture series in the Great War.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Listen to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History podcast. The episodes "Blueprint for Armageddon" are a good overview of WWI.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So so good. Keep going back to it.

Explanation checks out

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

How do you know what colors they were when everything back then was black and white?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The colored photos here are just colored over artificially from the original black and white. So the colors may not be fullyaccurate

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are u for real? Ever been to a museum? Of course they know what the real colors of equipment and outfit are. --

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lmao woah take it easy guy I was just making a joke

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I wonder about this as well

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can do a correlation between a shade of gray and its associated color. Then you make software that does this for an entire photo.
