Whatever bad things befall Alex Jones, it will never be as much as he deserves.

Ping me when it happens.

So many gleeful “he’s gonna get it this time!” Likebaits have made me skeptical.

From some movie, "Do you want 5 in the chest, or 1 and bleed out slowly?" The legal system is like getting a toe caught in a ringer. Not much at first, but eventually every drop of blood will be squeezed out of you. Unless you have a lawyer with a very sharp knife and didn't need that foot anyway.

As a guy who tends to lean conservative a lot of the time... Fuck that guy. And the qAnon followers.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

Yeah uh this says sell off, not shut down. And given the raging favoritism the audiences of right wing media have, am I the only one concerned about an even bigger shithead taking over the platform?

Dumb question:

Is there anything stopping somebody like Elon Musk from paying off Jone's debt to keep his InfoWars operation running?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So...what asshole is gonna buy it and keep putting out the same crap?

He'd struggle with NZs laws, and he cant go to the states.

There is a theory on YouTube that Alex got all his material from Warhammer 40K.

Nah...he gets everything from movies. He even tells his listeners that movies are the way GLobalists pre-program us to accept everything because its evil, Satanic gobbldeygook that has to be told to the public and therefore accepted before they put it into effect.
Even writing that made me hate how fucking stupid he and his cult is.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The funny thing is that a lot of people in his audience will try to do any stupid stunt they see in an action movie as soon as they walk out of the cinema. I'm not saying he's right, but ...

I too am interested. I breath is bated but not holding.

Will they send him to jail, which he deserves, but will start a riot and people will try and murder the Judge and Jury. Or give him a slap on the wrist. I think making him do public service eg pick up litter at the park or clean graphite in an orange jump suit will be a good middle ground.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

He won't get prison time, sadly. But if he did, that would most likely only increase the chance of his base to vote for him.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd love to see that middle ground if only to watch him keel over in the mid day heat.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Picking up graphite seems like a good punishment.

Just tell him the giegercounter going off his his approval rating.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Tick tick ticky means america is becoming great again.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Will it be sold off? If so, can't someone else just keep it running? Anyone have any info on how that works?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

By liquidation I believe they mean selling off the assets used to make the show. Cameras, lights, dick pills, computers etc. I guess hypothetically someone could purchase the rights to the name and domain but I can't see that happening.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I'd rather the answer be, 'nobody can buy the name and operate the site' but I'll take what I can.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think that's underestimating the persistence of MAGA types. Plus, why can't Jones just open another youtube channel?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope they're dumb enough to not wipe the computers before auction. Could be some interesting stuff on those hard drives and servers. 😀

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was used as the platform to disseminate misinformation and fraud. Why wasn't it shut down the SECOND he was found guilty?

Everything he says is crazy criminal.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Maybe it should be, but that doesn't make it so. It is verily hard for speech to be a crime in the US.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

People often need to be given more time to present additional fucktons of evidence, and also be given an abundance of due process and leniency for future um...situations.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For the same reason that Fox News is allowed to exist

2 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

The reasoning was : then he can continue to make money by spreading lies, so he can pay off the lawsuit he got because he was using the platform to spread lies.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Because rich people are better than the rest of us, so they deserve special treatment!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Some of the victims in an earlier case got way less money but would get more money if the business continued to make money, legal eagle did a video on it recently https://youtu.be/oELwtNQDP_A?si=f62r7PLM4S9WpTjN

Free speech

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Remember the guarantee isn’t free speech in general, it’s free speech against the government. Yelling fire in a theatre and causing a panic that hurts/kills people is still legally actionable, and yelling antivax during a pandemic should be too.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

See what your level of „free speech“ brings you. It gives you dead people because people get radicalized so easily. It gives you people who harass the grieving parents of dead kids.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

And yet your rank on the freedom index isn’t even high.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Its a bankruptcy. The trustee is appointed to get the most money for debtors as possible. In this case, infowars would generate more money by letting it run

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Unless it would cause more ppl to sue him/it for the BS...

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Because he's wealthy and the wealthy don't suffer punishment the same way as literally everyone else in this failed state.

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Did you miss the part where he's loosing everything because of his actions? He didn't commit a crime, but he was found to be liable for damages. The damages are more than everything he owns is worth, so his assets are being sold to pay them.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

He should have lost it the instant he engaged in stochastic terrorism against the Sandy Hook families. The FCC should have brought the goddamn hammer down on him for broadcasting a fucking conspiracy theory about crisis actors. No, this is not fucking sufficient, the dude needs to be PERMANENTLY BARRED FROM THE INTERNET AND ALL BROADCASTING, PERIOD, FOR FUCKING EVER AND SERVE JAIL TIME FOR COMPLICITY IN DEATH THREATS.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Okay so you're also on board with internet banning and jailing everyone on here who calls for executing billionaires and nazis right? Right...?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Aaaand you muted so i cant show why you're wrong 😂

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dumbfucking false equivalency. No one here has a position or platform to broadcast to millions of people.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's not shutting down because it's wrong, it's shutting down because there is no money to run it.

Last I checked, the bankruptcy court did not see it that way.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I would advise you to listen to the interviews of Sandy Hook families. Those who got accused, screamed at, and harassed by conspiracy theorists who accused them of faking the incident to support Hillary Clinton. That their children were already dead or killed by them. At least some of those harassers cited Infowars as their source. He knowingly decided to attack the incident and the survivors, decrying it as false and knowing that at least some of his listeners would believe him.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, that was the reason for the lawsuits I know.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

what money to run it...you just have to stuff Alex Jones full of cocaine and put him in front of a camera

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

*whiskey. Apparently that's how they actually do it

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If you've heard a number of his rants, uppers are definitely involved.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I only hear things filtered through the occasional Knowledge Fight episode. Would not be surprised if he has a whole pharmacy on hand

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because we have a constitution that guarantees free speech. Even if it's ignorant.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Remember the guarantee isn’t free speech in general, it’s free speech against the government. Yelling fire in a theatre and causing a panic that hurts/kills people is still legally actionable, and yelling antivax during a pandemic should be too.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

If that were the case then the government would use that same logic to round up political opponents for being unpatriotic or some shit. I remember the runup to the Iraq War where if you questioned the weapons of mass destruction line they would say you sided with the terrorists.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It’s not free speech against the government, it’s freedom from prosecution by the government no matter the speech (save for stuff like yelling fire in a theater, inciting violence etc)

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Iirc the yelling fire thing isn't true. You really can say pretty much anything short of hate speech.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

(For 'fire in a crowded theater' they could try and charge you with disorderly conduct and that's about it)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There’s no such thing as hate speech. Meaning, there’s no legal definition. And that’s a good thing. Otherwise each bad president would change the definition to “anything that speaks bad about me”

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn I mixed up German and American laws again

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"But the character of every act depends upon the circumstances in which it is done." (From Schenk v. U.S.) Essentially it mattered that there was a war and it mattered that there was a clear and present danger.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm referring to the "fire in a crowded theater" myth specifically

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First amendment. Trial was civil not criminal.

2 years ago | Likes 191 Dislikes 2

Oh my god can I crowd fund the purchase then use it to peddle even crazier conspiracy theories like one talking Clinton has an alien baby and Bigfoot is dating Hitler levels of crazy

2 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

So... Less crazy than Alex Jones?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not much of a change.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Careful. That's how we got QAnon

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great idea! I would absolutely chip in to turn InfoWars into the new Weekly World News / Coast to Coast AM!

One condition, though: You can't announce the change on InfoWars. You make the transition as invisible as you can and see how long it takes the scumbag audience to figure it out.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Already done back in the day. Anyone else remember Coast to Coast with Art Bell?

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

He was in the first Prey game. 2006.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I used to love show. Stayed up late often to listen. I don't remember that level of conspiracy though. Just general science function stuff

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Had a bunch of paranormal/aliens/angels/Bermuda triangle stuff, as well as legit science stuff. Kid me enjoyed listening to it with my grandma late at night!

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Used to listen on the way to work every morning
