I don't think a dead baby can outgrow their grave, but what the hell... prove me wrong.

That not a coffin, that's a cooler full of beer. Baby coffins are quite light, I can carry two at a time.

Wouldn't be surprised if mom was nearby. Crazy how dangerous giving birth used to be before hand washing became a thing!

Aw thanks! These are really neat - I find old cemeteries so interesting (is that morbid??)

Went to a pioneer cemetery in Utah once and there was a mother, father, and 5 kids, all died within 3 days of each other. Really wondered.

A wagon could have upturned during a crossing. Dysentery is another option.

Probably yellow fever outbreak. I can't imagine.

I mean a whole family in 3 days limits the diseases quite a bit.

Here's an eye witness account of yellow fever outbreak in Shreveport late 1800's http://files.usgwarchives.net/la/caddo/history/yelfever.txt

I meant that in the sense that diseases such as TB has a fairly long incubation period & wouldn't wipe out a family in a matter of days.
