Not resisting, and the cop at the start that is butt hurt about him not giving his ID starts punching him in the back of the head.

After looking into it a little more. Found out it was for a noise complaint

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

right? that was a clear cut constitutional violation. You can't just try to put your hand in someones pockets even if you are a cop.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Man. Cops suck.

5 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 18

Women cops suck as well, I'm sure of it!

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

15 guys pulling and pushing him in all directions and then the classic "STOP RESISTING" yeah like he can comply with anything at that point.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I've seen this happen a LOT! Multiple cops giving multiple different sets of instructions and the person gets hurt or killed for it.

What's up with the wanna be gangster cop

5 years ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 6

That part is actually scary, he is sizing him up. He knows he has all the power.

5 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Hate to say it but you can be right or dead right

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 6

As an American, this is what I feel like right now.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

I like that they're trying to pull him in one direction and the one dumbass just pulls him in the other for no reasons. You had one job

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

also fuck cops but people said that already so I didn't think it was necessary, not many characters per comment, etc

I literally saw EMS walking around a fairly crowded gas station today without masks. The stupidity must be in the air

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the same shit logic that keeps people trapped in abusive relationships. "Who else is going to care about you? You're stuck w/ me."

I'd rather go to a hospital with fewer employees and wait longer, than a hoapital where the doctors malpractice every patient.

If they managed to do this at a noise complaint, imagine how they must mishandle anything serious. I would prefer NOT to worry about the

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How could you know that cops hate me? You can’t. I never said cops are the only people I hate. Bring a better response next time.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

We do hate shitty people regardless of occupation, cops just tend to be universally shitty people. Not our faults cops suck.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Guarantee you don’t actually know any cops.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

I do actually, two. One was fired early in his career because he wouldn't lie to protect another cop who planted evidence, another was --

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

killed by a drunk driver during a traffic stop. Both are kinda dicks.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guys not black what are you talking about?

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

Read the article??

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

It never surprises me to see the people who assume you have to do something wrong for the police to escalate a situation needlessly

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 6

The cop is obviously in the wrong but context and knowledge are still important instead of just accepting the parts that support our views.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Ya how dare anyone be curious about more details of what appears to be a horrible act caught on camera

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Well because in some countries its 99% the case that its not the police who escalate

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nope and most on here don't care. Cops bad. That's it. That's their argument.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 72

The problem is because most believe it, the evidence posted is overwhelming in favour of that opinion. no-ones interested in cops being good

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

This is clearly one cop being an asshole. The problem is that the culture is that you must not report him.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

You gonna hang around this post all night? Go to a different post boot licker.

5 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 12

Nah. I enjoy shining a light on the abundance of ignorance on this post. But thanks to the invite to leave.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 44

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 9

Nope. Your cult doesn't do those things. Y'all just play repeat after me.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 35

A cop came out to a noise complaint, and called all his buddies because this guy didn't want to show him his ID.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1) He called "the whole precinct" to demand ID, which isn't something he can lawfully demand, and failed to even ask to search him. If he

5 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 10

2) had cause to search him demanding ID made no sense beyond attempting to get him to comply. If he has it on him when you search him,

5 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 8

3) you'll find it. He waited until he had "the whole precinct" at his back and reached for a search with neither consent nor forwarning

5 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 6

4) knowing it'd escalate. It's strictly flexing. Other guy might've been flexing too, but he's not a public servant.

5 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 6

Oh. So it's ok for a civilian to talk crap to a cop but a cop can't talk back huh.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 95

I can’t make a judgement. There seems to be too much missing from before to be making assumptions.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 51

Cops can't ask to see ID?

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 9

Its never illegal to aak anything. It is illegal to touch people without their permission

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

That's just not true. Police can touch you if you refuse to comply with a lawful request right.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

Nope. You have to break a law. You only have to provide ID when operating a motor vehicle, and thats IF they saw you do something wrong

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They can ask, but you don't have to provide it unless they have probable cause or a warrant. This was assault by the cop that grabbed him.

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

And police brutality and illegal intimidation by the rest.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

If they were there to investigate a noise complaint did they have probable cause?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Ironically if you read the article it appears the noise was the police. At least according to the defendant.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course they can ask. I can ask, so can you. In NYC, you are not obligated to carry it nor provide it on demand of a police officer.

5 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

If they are there to investigate a problem they suspect you are a part of are you required to turn it over?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

No. But we see cops over stretching their legal limits on the regular... as above shows.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

A noise complaint, then they escalated the situation.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

You aren't even required to tell them your name when they have you under arrest in an interrogation room.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

They can demand your ID if there is suspicion of crime or if they've recived a call about someone with your description is casuing trouble-

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With reasonable suspicion they can ask for your name, dob, or ID. But a pedestrian isn't required to carry ID, only a driver.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What makes the latter unbearable is that they can fabricate it by just describing you, to you, while looking at you and you can't do dick.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Having said that.. these cops act like wannabe gangsters... actual clowns.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The cop is acting like a criminal. Trying to flex on people only trash does that

5 years ago | Likes 1267 Dislikes 18

You ever watch point blank?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Spent 10 years working with cops. Short cops almost always have some kind of power complex, and are dangerous to work with. Hated those guys

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They are criminals.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

welcome to every cop out there.

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 6

The fact that about 15 officers end up at the same call is crazy already.

5 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

That’s cause they’re scared

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

THANK YOU. Where I’m from, that means someone might want to kick your ass. But he’s a cop, strike that, reverse it, a fucking asshole

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Its almost as if he called his gang on someone for "disrespecting" him

5 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

Cops are used to less tolerant people that will lose their cool so they can beat the shit out of innocent people. This guy is a fucking saint

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Yeah he's gesturing like a stereotypical shit ass thug. How about some more training for your cops? And maybe not let every idiot join?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Dirty cop is a redundant phrase.

5 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 13

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

There are good cops. I know a few. But man, there are plenty of cops on the force who know they’re part of a legal gang. This is an example.

5 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 4

They have precinct tattoos in LA.

Speaking from a LEO perspective, the second you hear someone say that, it's time for someone else to be primary and Mr. Mouth to step back.

Ok so which of the other 14 officers standing there watching was wrong for not stepping in? All of them. The answer is all of them.

Was justified - DUI with an infant in the car. He strike the guy or anything, not that I saw, but he was mad as hell. If the others rolled 3

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

LOOK HOW MUCH TAX PAYER MONEY I CAN WASTE!! is all I hear when he is bragging about having the whole precinct there

5 years ago | Likes 335 Dislikes 7

"Look at how big and angry my gang is! You better do what we tell you regardless of whether it's right or wrong."

5 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

And not a one of them objects or even declines to participate

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Cops will often start something at the end of the shift so that they can get paid over time to write reports.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That and being a little bitch who can't handle his own shit that he starts

5 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

It's like you can hear the short man complex he has when he speaks. He is loving showing the bigger guy that he has all the power

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You nailed it. Little cranky kid playing as a man. The real man is the one they're attacking keeping his cool

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This. I can't imagine being so bitch made to start a confrontation while armed and then calling 14 friends to help. What a pussy.

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's why most people join a gang, and the Blues are the most well armed and funded gang in town.

5 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

This needs to be heard by so many more people

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Should have given the ID and all that tax money wouldn't have been wasted

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 41

I don't HAVE to give you my i.d. if a crime hasn't been committed. Ask me to lower my volume and go about your business.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In order for them to disqualify you as a repeat offender or a suspect that matches a description they need to run your name

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Dude, that's not how that works... that's like I'm walking down the street and ask for my i.d. and then trip when I don't give it to them.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That’s backwards. Cops should be held to a higher standard of law than the people they serve. Cop tried 2 start a rap battle for some reason

5 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

I agree w the you 100%. But what do you do when someone doesn't comply? Especially if the civilian is just trying to prove a point.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Cops are actually taught to escalate at every stage. Look up the use of force continuum. That's what they're taught.

5 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 5

That's not what the continuum means. That addresses the amount of force presented by the suspect(s). This guy is just being a cunt.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That’s a misunderstanding of the UOF. You should be at one stage higher, always trying to deescalate. This isn’t how they’re trained.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Dominate, that's the training. he understands fine.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Pure ignorance. I’m very much on board with reform but you can’t fix a motor if you don’t understand how it works or what is wrong with it.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The continuum was replaced by objective reasonableness and Graham v Conner a while ago. The UoF pyramid was impractical.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are reasons for that. This is not that though. It's just bullying.

5 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I kind of agree but also two officers asking for ID when he has a gang of friends around him is pretty dangerous when they don't have backup

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They are simply unprofessional and need to learn some etiquette.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Police need to be help to a higher standard in the way they act and conduct themselves and you'd probably find these situations wouldn't

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Cop: We had a complaint of cursing, now give me your fucking ID

5 years ago | Likes 462 Dislikes 13

It would be so funny if he acted like that in Amsterdam as a cop. What a asshole.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Read the article, its worse than that the cops where the noise makers and he asked them to stop. Then they tried to arrest him.

5 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

And the official paperwork listed "resisting arrest" as the only cause, but not anything he was being arrested for...

5 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 1

That's quite common, I've seen it a lot at protests

5 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Too bad ppl don't know that can't hold up in court. A resisting charge has to be accompanied by an actual charge. At least here anyways

5 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Cursing in public is illegal in many states.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 62

And thats dumb.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wrong. Except in VERY specific circumstances it isn't, especially to cops acting in an official capacity

5 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

In Ontario in Alberta both they are the one group you can't swear at. They hit you up on 'public disturbance' because cops are precious.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Furthermore, police officers acting in an official capacity can't claim you disturbed their peace vthey aldo can't solicit a complaint.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wrong, crap lawyers there then, the police can't hit you with disturbing the peace if there isn't a bystander who reports that.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lawyers? They only exist in court. I got a fine, alongside a ticket for spitting. You never deal with a cop?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't curse at them though, in some states that's all they need to detain you while they nitpick what else they can charge you with

5 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 1

What the fuck even happened to Sticks and stones my break my bones but name will never hurt me? Take the fucks badge away

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cool I will totally fight that as freedom of speech

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Why? Doesn’t the USA have freedom of speech? I don’t have any laws stating freedom of speech here but I could still tell a cop to fuck off
