Man I miss Legion. Those people that would only do half the invasion kinda sucked tho

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know this one. Could someone explain the technique?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I gave too much of my life to this game. Never again.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am unable to go to Gadgetzan without being murdered by the guards. I haven't raised my rep with them after working on Insane title.

Have my up vote just on the fact that you haven't changed name.

My god, a Warcraft post actually made to the front page, fascinating.

I'll down vote it for others sake

It happens all the time, dude

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Oh yes, the most popular MMO of all time is on the front page! What an oddity!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Gadgetzan used to be an impossible to solve maze during Vanilla.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can someone explain?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

World of Warcraft. First pic: Defense of Gadgetzan in Gates of Ahn'Qiraj world event. Second pic: Same place, Legion (expansion) pre-event.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This raises even more questions

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

um what?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

It's from World of Warcraft. Sometimes it's possible to lure these huge, dangerous monsters into small towns where they kill everyone.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah, remember the days before mob leashes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not what is going on here though. First picture is from Gates of Ahn'Qiraj world event, second is from Legion invasions pre-expansion event.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ohh right. I guess I wasn't around for the Ahn'Qiraj event, on account of the servers crashing 24/7, and I don't play the game today. Thanks

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your actionbar is making my brain hurt. To each their own I guess. :D

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

God I loved the shit out of this game. Spent most of my teenage years with it (like 13-16) and don't regret a single day

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

"I've got the best deals around!"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh fire mage <3

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think it's frost look at that sheild

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They've made it now to where every Mage spec has Ice Barrier, weirdly enough. Action bar / proc visual around the character says fire :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes I agree but I was talking about top picture which is much older

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never even checked out bottom pic. I'm very aware of new mages lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still want to say fire because of pyro's icon & combustion's. Frost armor could have been for world pvp. Either way, sorry for assuming <3ya

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Makes me want to play but £10/month? Nahhhhhhhhhhh

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

There's a number of really good nostalgia servers out there. Vanilla, TBC, Wotlk etc. Check it out.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can buy time with in game gold now. It's like 40k but ho early that's not too bad if you have levels professions

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly* ho early? Really?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wow. This truly does capture the change in the game though. Notice the chat in the first image. Wonder and awe at what's happening.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Second image, nothing....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The game didn't change. We did. It's been over 10 years ofc its not as exciting anymore. Especially not when everything is datamined already

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on the server, also, this is a couple weeks after the event first came out. People were going crazy when it first released.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just started playing again cause WoD sucked dick and Jesus legion looks like it's gunna be great

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

Mmmmm wow. Yeah, I'll pass. Ff14 tho!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

Havn t played since mid wotlk. 7 years. Came back for legion. It's looking really good so far.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm not really sure what people are basing this on. It looks the same as last expansion.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm thinking about it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friends list is actually populated again. WoD was soooooo bad but it's finally about to be over.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take it from a legion beta tester, it's worth it. They really got their shit together with this one.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's how they do it. They make it seem super interesting and then you realize it's shit all the same. WoW hasn't been good in ages.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 10

Played on a vanilla server a while back and got my nostalgia glasses broken. God damn vanilla was a shit game compared to now.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

It had its flaws, but ultimately it was better because you had to cooperate. 99% of that social interaction is gone, it's sad.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

For the casual players, yes. If you want to do any sort of legit endgame, being social and in a guild will benefit you greatly.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Really fighting the urge to come back, I miss playing a quality mmo.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haven't gotten to play too much yet, but holy fuck did they dumb down the few classes I play regularly :-/

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They call it "streamlining" and god forbid you piss off the Blizz fanboys.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah apparently. It's made it hellish to play my Dk without a dps spec outside of dungeons. I miss talent trees.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Vanill wow - that's what I want to play.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's just nostalgia talking. Vanilla wow was fraught with stupid shit. Wotlk was the best wow ever was

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It had its flaws. But being a Guild Master of a 40 man raid guild/Grand Marshal/opening the gates of AQ (getting Scarab Lord) were my days

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GM 'ing 40 man raids should have considered your lifespan considerably. Freaking herding cats man

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh trust me.. I was an asshole. ESP when we started Naxx

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd go back into in a heart beat. But I will say I did like wotlk. That's the xpac I played up to until I stopped

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man if you want to level now is the time to do it. Freaking 10 to 50 in 2 hours.

9 years ago | Likes 195 Dislikes 1

Some guy used Recruit a friend(300%exp) plus all the other good exp buff shit. 1-100 in 2hours 45 min. Abit stupid but it's a 1 off event.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. Got my Monk to 80 in less than 20 hours of relaxed levelling.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah well, i will when i can afford it :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1 - 100 in an entire day.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think they call this... more "casual friendly"

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Yep. Sodapoppin and four friends got to level 100 from level 1 in 5 hours using those 300% bonus exp potions and heirlooms.

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Sodapoppin's was basically a trick since the gold / hours invested ahead of time was ridiculous. The 1-100 in 2 hours is just prepatch event

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Did u do recruit a friend? Dude I was doing that yesterday it is bonkers

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some people are claiming 2-4 hours to hit 100

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you use recruit a friend and the 300% exp potions maybe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For sure with those potions and the fact these invasions are non-stop now. I've been thinking about jumping on alts

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I highly recommend it. Time to get all the 100's woooo!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh duh, heirloom gear as well. Fuck it, time to buy all the potions off the AH

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

where's the fun in that. They made it way too easy to level. You level faster than you can find gear.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

By extension, there is no character investment anymore. Sure, I can level a new class... no it's not a big deal. Ugh.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's because you're supposed to have heirlooms that level with you. Or run dungeons and get upgrades constantly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because this is an event that won't always be there. Also the event gives you gear .

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish they had real phased worlds so you could progress from vanilla->BC->LotLK->Cata. Instead, they're busy destroying vanilla servers.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They have a legal obligation to or they lose rights to parts of WoW.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Who knows, word in the grapevine is they are thinking about creating legacy servers so while you still have to pay it would be vanilla.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Miss the old days :/ almost a whole month to get to 60.

9 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 6

15 year old me loved it 27 year old me ain't got time for that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck no. I remember running out of quests at one point on my first char and farming rock elementals for two lvls.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What old days were that??? Vanilla took way longer than 30 measly days. Unless your talking time played. Then yeah, maybe

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think what most people genuinely miss is how new everything was. Most people were newbies and had to work together. The friendships, man..

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah, not going to sites to look up everything made everything different. Now that's expected and you just go look up boss fights.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except the amount of classes and experience of the game overall wasn't nearly as vast as it is now lol

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

There's actually less content experienced because you're rushed through it so fast. You super outlevel a zone before you complete 50% of it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would say that given how everything is served on a silver plate in modern WoW, it doesn't seem quite as vast.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I thought I missed grindy MMOs like EQ and early WoW... played Black Desert Online.. turns out I've grown out of them.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

Anyone who misses the old days ask them to link their outland loremaster. Because after doing that shit I remembered the old days suck ass.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I'm very close to getting outland loremaster, but the last few quests I've not done due to losing track of where I need to go next.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get this and scan for all done/not done: https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/quest_completist

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grinding for gear is the worst. 6 people in your party need the sparkle necklace of +4 damage you have to run the dungeon 150 times.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I went back and played on an EQ progression server a while back. Sitting in a group in LGuk for 4+ hours gets old fast.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not so much I miss the grind, but I miss the need to be cautious and think things through.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

TERA.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Yeah same, loved the leveling and quests when I was 16, ten years later it's just so boring. I think most just miss their old friends/guilds

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I think leveling and exploring zones and doing stuff was part of the intended experience back then. Endgame is everything now.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could never get into WoW, and always kinda figured its popularity was due to the social aspects that were uncommon at the time.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The only reason it's still alive is because of the social aspects... people just revert back there every expansion.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It makes sense right? Time is much more valuable once you grow up.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

After spending a month on a vanilla wow server....yeah. Ugh

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Kronos or nost before blizzard jewed em?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

Was on nost for a few days before the announcement. Then found out about Kronos. Was on there for a while but....guh. Also hate pvp
