In the Netherlands we don't get vaccinations for chicken pox so last Wednesday I actually went to such a party with my youngest

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nobody tell her! Just wholeheartedly agree and go from there.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't see anything. Can anyone please circle whats supposed to be funny?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, she said she wasn’t anti-vas so...

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Bruh this is golden, this guy may reestablich the anti vax community to normal. Genius tactics.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pulitzer Prize material

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This hurts my soul...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, is anyone surprised?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This wasn't on Reddit 6 months ago

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Drs should just help the anti vaxxers. "Oh dont worry, we have a non chemical version, let me have the nurse get it for you!"

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Could be a trick, but also could be that the 'argument' is that the shots have more chemicals added than necessary

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Does he know everything is made out of chemicals?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m sure the planet’s full of people that don’t understand this.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shhh, let's give it to them. These "new" vaccines that are all natural... Yes...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But first, recharge your phone.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If i wasn't busy drinking my friday beer i would tbh check up if this persons perspective on vaccines changed

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ok, I understand people are stupid so what if we just administered the vaccines in another form other than a shot

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some can use patches now.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also some are inhalable

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll fuckin do it again. *hyuk.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

most anti vaxxers ive met arent concerned about the diseases but whatever other chemicals are in vaccines besides dead viruses

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every single one is safe for use in orders of magnitude greater quantities. Every single one.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fair but those other chemicals are there for a reason.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i agree and id vaccinate my kids if i had any.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And most of them have no ill effects, or are at much lower levels than found in many foods

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. Tho there is some concern with putting g that into infants, as smaller doses have a larger effect than on adults, but we knew that

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

(Cont) and accounted for it

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Were chicken pox playdates a thing? I was born in '79. Never heard of such a thing. Or am I falling victim to the tomfoolery of this post?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's still a thing in the UK. They have access to the vaccine but most parents don't think it's necessary and most doctors don't push for it

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. I was sent on purpose to get them. Born 71.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That sounds like a shit way to hang with friends or make new ones.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1602 Dislikes 1

I've done that a lot then promptly be unable to explain how I got it : /

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He didn't though. Vaccine and polio playdates are different. The playdates introduce the child to the illness at full force, which can dead.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where did you find this image? A friend of mine has identical handwriting and happens to be a maths teacher...

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Somewhere on imgur, just part of my meme collection

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking fake because a teacher couldn't have handwriting that shot, guess not

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did this in every math class I've had. Most teachers just don't understand that you can get the correct answer in multiple ways

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why you show your work

6 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 3

I dont think I showed my work a single time in school. All my scribblings on my spare paper never made sense.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As someone who did math in college there is almost always more than one formula to use

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And still got docked a point, probably. That's what my asshat Math instructor did, at any rate. I got the right answer, dammit!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Math isn't about "getting the right answer" it's about learning how to think.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

If you can't show how you got the correct answer then you don't understand the material well enough to receive full points.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Yeah about that...my old math instructor had a simple grade scale. If you were in a sports program, you got an A. If you weren't, you got Cs

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well that absolutely sucks. But that is a different problem than taking points off for not showing correct work.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Did this a couple times in school, just calculated it in the head and had to figure out the calculations afterward.

6 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 1

I also did this when I worked as a janitor at the local university. I would see a problem on the board while cleaning and just solve it.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm crap at math but sometimes my brain will just about out the answer... It's strange and teachers never, ever believed me.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Crap out the answer*

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I used to that in school too I hate the way they forced you to show how you got the answer, bitch all that matters is if it’s correct, damn!

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

I hate this. It's not the teachers job to make sure you know how to get that specific answer, it's their job to make sure you understand 1

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The process, the concepts, and how to apply them. 2

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

But that’s the ting if I’m getting the correct answers from figuring it out in my head then surely I get the process

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yep, obnoxious as a kid but I get it now.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I frequently only got half credit in math class for not "showing my work" the way they wanted me to, because I had a different way of

6 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 1

getting to the answer than what was taught.

6 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

My teachers use to tell me that it's cause you wont always get the correct answer doing it that way. I would just argue it was correct still

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Math is creative, like anything else. Always sucks when they restrict their lessons

6 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

If you get the right answer then the teacher shouldnt tell you to stop doing it that way. Sure they can ask you try this "other better way"

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

8+9 = 9+9 =18, 9 -8 =1, 18 -1 =17

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In grade school my math teacher would hand out assignments where you'd do equations and then the answers would correspond to letters for a

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

little word puzzle thing. I'd solve one equation and then use context to solve the puzzle and work backwards from there. She did not like me

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I hate to break it to you but everyone did that.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm sure most people did but in my class of maybe 12 students I was one of maybe three students that did that
