TIL: To adapt to drastic climate change, humans need some freaking Photoshop skills.

I dont see how this would help anything...

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I see what you did there...

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

We can

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If you thought trench warfare was fun...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is no drastic climate change.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

we'll have cake roofs with powdered sugar edges???

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That doesn't look like adapting. That looks like hiding. Adaptation would have more solar panels in it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't that a Titanfall map?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Rise - titanfall

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol looks like a map from Titanfall 2.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where are the parshmen?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

In Narak, duh

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No matter what man does, for the good or bad, it will get hotter and hotter out for the next 5 to 6 thousand. After that it will cool off.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

It is a cycle Earth has gone thru from the start. Ice age and then heat and then back to Ice.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Bad photoshop is bad. Also, putting that much dirt on top of a structure's roof basically guarantees it's going to collapse.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Somehow I knew we would resort to living in cracks.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Best way to hide from aliens from above

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is so cool

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Legit, when I was a kind and saw cracks in dry land I imaged it was zoomed out to pics like this. Then I realized it wasn't

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s going to be Way more extreme than that

8 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 0

Yep. It's Rise.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I was looking for this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very cool looking concept, impractical in practice.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Yeah... Shouldn't the roofs be covered with trees and the streets cleared?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the sand wouldnt stay neatly on top lol, it'd be everywhere. and its probably coarse. and iritating.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

We would have gingerbread roofs?

Roofs is the plural of roof in all varieties of English. http://grammarist.com/usage/roofs-rooves/

Groofy

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If you had that kind of terraforming capability, surely you'd just live on the freakin' surface.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you know what a wadi is ? Do you know what happens to wadis when the rains come ?

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Dudes, JUST started reading these and it was my first thought when seeing this image. So excited to read more. :) bridge four!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

If you've not read the other Cosmere books, definitely check them out after you go through the Stormlight books.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the suggestion :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What series?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So many TSA fans on Imgur! Life before Death, Radiants.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Journey before Destination.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Except you wouldnt want to be in the chasms during a high storm.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

With company though, not so bad. Trying, maybe, but not bad.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I laughed out loud when it finally clicked for him.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually it's more like the city Lift visits:

8 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

I was thinking exactly the same thing! +1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is Edgedancer any good?

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I like lifts journey in it. She meets some neat people.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It has Lift, of course its good. She is made of awesome

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn’t care for lift much until the talking sword Shen uses that tries killing her and she is all good with it cause it’s hungry.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nightblood is just a sword trying to kill evil. Not its fault it has no idea what evil actually is. It's a sword.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lift is a really endearing character in a world where everyone is pretty serious.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mandatory read to avoid confusion in Oathbringer. Lift is awesome.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm like 68% on Oathbringer right now, I think Warbreaker and Edgedancer are my next reads. Should have read them first...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She is pretty great, and the development of characters surrounding her as well. It was a fun read.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Acceptable filler and development for a fun character

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Would love to see a decent movie. Like lotr quality.

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I'd prefer a GoT quality series. Especially since Stormlight is supposed to be many more books.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Hmmmm 10 episodes per book or So? It might work, even if condensed

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the spren part would look too cartoonish to be taken seriously

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Depends on who does the cgi. FFVII Advent Children had great cgi and that was 13 years ago. Also FFX summon cut scenes. I can see that 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 working perfectly within a tv series, but as I've noted in an above comment, there would be so much missing from dialog for this

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm skeptical enough with the VR interactive narrative I recently heard about. Never bought into VR as of yet... (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Though, I would definitely want to experience it at least (probably).. (2/2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, it needs an animated series. Only way to do it justice.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i mean it's pretty much an anime already. When the guy just started dual wielding I had to stop for a second.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Movies would be a fucking disaster. The books are to long. Much better off as a series.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I agree. There is also too much inner dialog or explanations that couldn't be shown in movies or a tv series for this.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe an anime style show? Where the inner dialogue is actually shown? I've always wanted a good tv show that did that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The movie rights for the entire Cosmere have been bought, but if something comes I suppose it will be the Mistborn series.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There's nothing wrong with Mistborn, but Stormlight and the world of Roshar is more my jam.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YEah, Stormlight Archives are much better written but Sanderson wants to make them ten books long.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't quite realize it when I picked up TWoK at the bookstore... I've doomed myself. I do enjoy re-reading them, however. So there's that
