That is a very large, powerful animal, moving incredibly fast, just inches from her head. She does not flinch.

"aquatic shenanigans" sounds like a euphemism for... Ummm.... Something.

Play with them , they have such short lives, play and make them happy.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Marvelous little creature! I'd drop everything to play with sweet beastie!

I want to volunteer to clean a tank. I'll do it every Sunday. For free

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

You don't think that there is something inherently political about the fact that we have imprisoned sentient beings in undersized tanks and force them to perform for our amusement? Huh.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

This is AI but you are right, those tanks are an abuse to any animal that should have trillions of tons of water to swim in. And we don't have any right to use them or land animals as 'entertainment' even if they do seem to enjoy the games. They are trapped in a tiny tank for our amusement.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That isn't AI, it's from the beluga show at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China. It doesn't take much work at all to find more video and pictures of the same whale in the same tank.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't know that, thank you for telling me. Until seeing this I had no idea that Beluga whales were being used like this.

I cringe even though I used to enjoy it. Far East Movement - Like A G6

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

There are no belugas in captivity by choice. This is like show slaves dancing.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I agree but to be fair, there are many aquariums that have a policy that of only having marine mammals that cannot survive in the wild, which I agree with so long as well kept.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

For example, Vancouver Aquarium.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seriously though, these moves would be hard to perform by a diver - how come the beluga knows them? Has it been watching people outside the water? On a TV? I'm amazed that it knows how to "map" these alien movements to its own body, and apparently having fun doing it. Also, do they use some form of underwater speaker?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fairly sure the beluga is AI-generated.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes I'm sure it is for many reasons but the biggest one is watch her hair, if that animal was real the water would be churning around her. Although whales do do some funky stuff, and this is just a bit of fun.
