No, but seriously, Icelandic New Years is fuckin scary. Couple fireworks with intense wind and imagine what happens next.

Was there two weeks ago, can recommend

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the tip, adding it to the 'Iceland Trip List' as we speak.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well if we are doing that, go to the north more than the south, in the south you get coaches, in the north you get no one and better views

And be careful, the sun never sets in the summer.

As a Canadian, we experience this in some cities as well. Not where I live, now, but up in the territories for sure.

If they'd had the decency to do it on July 4 we'd probably be willing to extend some great show of friendship. Like remembering their name.

9 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 2

No, america only remenber the name of the ones he is invading

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I'm not sure renaming things "New Freedomland", "New Freedomland 2", and so on really counts..?

Only 17% of young adults could find Afghanistan on a map. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2002/11/1120_021120_GeoRoperSurvey.html

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

To be honest, I can only pinpoint Afghanistan to like a small region. I really don't give 2 shits of its true location. :/

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

That's because you learn geography in middle/highschool then immediately forget it. Who cares exactly?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

To be honest I never understood the drama of "can't find on a map." Is this a reading problem? Otherwise why are we using unlabeled maps?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Exactly. Just look around. If you know what continent/ general location is, just look for a sec. It's hard to find cities, too. Shocking.
