1951 BUICK LeSABRE...good start here though the lack of headlights is a bit disconcerting

1955 LINCOLN FUTURA...can you say "Batmobile" - yes, this is the model car used to design the original for the TV series! NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA!

1953 CADILLAC GHIA COUPE...this looks classy af. I think people would buy this and drive it even today.

1959 GM FIREBIRD III...I would seriously put on a flight suit and goggles before I got into this and would make jet noises while I drove. EVERY. TIME.

1954 DE SOTO ADVENTURER II...another car I think they could likely market today with just a few changes.

1955 LINCOLN INDIANAPOLIS...the front end on this is longer than the rest of the car...5/7 would not want to parallel park this.

195? MERCURY D524...this is the design that Cholos in LA have long been aiming for lol. Drop the top and put in hydraulics? *cues up 'Lowrider'*

1959 CADILLAC CYCLONE...this is some straight up Elon Musk shit right here.

1955 FORD MYSTERE...not sure if more disturbed by the paint scheme or...

1951 BUICK XP-300...this looks like the predecessor of a lot of the cars that were actually produced in the mid-late 50s. Just wonder if they ever came out with a 7 or 10 version *snickers to self at little joke*

1952 CHRYSLER D'ELEGANCE...I have nothing to say about this other than when I was at the hospital following the birth of my son in 1992, the Receptionist had a picture of twin girls - one was named L'Elegance and the other apparently after this car.

1953 FORD X-100...I really need to know if the back roof slides forward when you go underwater in this.

1958 FORD X-2000...this car is meant to be an example of what happens when you snort 2 whole marijuanas before going to work designing cars. It also looks like a car my son drew when he was about 4 years old.

1956 BUICK CENTURION II...Car wreck? https://i.imgur.com/k7J0NYx.gif

1954 OLDSMOBILE ROCKET F88...I would let this car have sex with me. And if you drove it, you just know that anyone that saw you in it would allow you to take them in a manly fashion *or womanly, I'm all about equality*

1956 OLDSMOBILE GOLDEN ROCKET...apparently this car was inspired by the bras of that era.

1956 PONTIAC CLUB DE MER...how could you NOT name this thing the Tiburon or Shork or Muthafuggin' Jaws!?

1956 PACKARD PREDICTOR...my prediction is that this looks like a hearse for midgets.

1954 FORD LA TOSCA...was this the prototype Mary Kay car?

1957 CHRYSLER DIABLO...want a '64 T-Bird but it costs too much? I'd take this as a slight step down.

Those bubble canopies look like a good way to get heatstroke in summer.

The F88 was the other GM brand's take on the Corvette. Pontiac made a concept car off of the 'Vette as well.

Snorting marijuana is only a gateway to the heavier stuff like Tide pods

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Interesting that all these cars happen to be American.

The first one, doesn't it look like they just put one really big headlight in the centre? Call it the Buick Cyclops.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1959 CADILLAC CYCLONE looks like Turbot 2 from Spirou

OP sounds like a 14 year old in high school

I don't HAVE to grow up! YOU'RE NOT EVEN MY REAL MOM!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

IKR? All 14 year olds talk about these days is concept cars from the 50's. Fucking hell.

What are you, new here? That meme gets used more a bottle of asprin at the white house.

Good call with the jet noises in the Firebird, pretty sure that was one of their attempts at a jet turbine powered car

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think Jay Leno owns a working turbine car, there's a cool video somewhere about it

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Jay's got one of the 60's Chrysler turbine cars. Most were scrapped for tax reasons. The Firebirds were turbine-powered Pontiac concepts.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Opps! Just found out Jay also has a Firebird concept car.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just how does one snort two whole marijuanas?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ask Becky

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Chewing "special brownies" is more of a breakfast choice IMO.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

one up each nostril - duh !

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Although dangerous, it's not that difficult - much easier than injecting them.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

My friend Becky died from that. Don't inject the marijuanas.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

RIP Taylor Swi-um, I mean Becky!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Especially those whole marijuanas

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the stems n seeds get stuck

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see a lot of hidden Corvettes.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

F88 especially, it was built on the corvette platform and actually was the first to have V8. 1955 was the first year for the corvette

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would be '53 for the first Vette .

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1955 was the first year for the corvette to have a V8. 1953 and 54 has a straight 6. Didn't have enough characters left to say that.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Got ya, those character limitations get me every time...long live the Corvette!

Sold.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sold so many, they couldn't keep up with production and had to shut down.

McLaren has you covered

Scrolled down just to see this.

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

only logical choice

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh look, the Ford X-2000!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Back when they at least tried to style things. Even if weird they at least tried to do something cool.

8 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 9

To be fair, concept cars have always and still do look more extravagant than actual cars

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Every car with a spoiler painted in black would have made an awesome batmobile

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right? Every car has the same shape these days.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Today’s concept cars are crazy af. Just not that common and way more expensive.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i dont think you look at concept cars often

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

SOME people in olden days built sensible cars like today's, based around efficiency.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

These are all concept cars. Today's concept cars are often still absolutely crazy looking, so I'm not sure what your point is

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Yup, look at the concept Chevy Volt vs the production version. One is an all electric sports car (pre-Tesla), the other is the Chevy Prius.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They attempt to style but there are far more restrictive constraints now because safety/aerodynamics factor heavily.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Yes. Rounded corners to deflect impacts instead of focusing them, and an awareness that air will act in a certain way.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And simple things that add elegance to designs like low hoods, pillarless designs, and small pillars are non-starters now unless using $$$

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now it's all about silly stuff like "safety", and "cost efficiency". Blergh

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 3

Those were pretty safe too back then. They were tanks now almost every vehicle will total in a moderate accident.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

modern cars absorb the impact of the crash for you like the fucking weaklings they are, back then you flew out the windshield like a man

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah yes what a nice looking hood going through my skull, screw safety.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

plenty of good looking cars nowadays too, just a different style

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 4

Aka they all figured out the general shape that gets the least drag and most card are variations on that

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Still don't like how all these new cars look like the bastard children of a lozenge and a motorcycle helmet.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

To me the sexiest cars will forever be the 1935 Duesenberg SJ LaGrande Dual-Cowl Phaeton and the Jag Series 3 E-Type with the V-12.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Personally, I'd love a mid 60s Galaxie 500, a 70s Eldorado, a late 60s-early 70s buick skylark, or a late 60s-early 70s Valiant

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The 1951 BUICK LeSABRE headlight is dead center high up on the grill, not perfect by anymeans but it's got one.

8 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 1

Like a pimple on an elephant's forehead.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Well that’s just dangerously missleading ”oh its just a moped” and then at the last second BAM a car the size of an oil tanker

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

This is the comment I wanted to write so I’m just up voting yours.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The headlight pops out of the center circular area when the car turned on

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hence why in Denmark, and probably other countries, laws state that you may only have an even number of headlights on a car.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

so 100 is ok but 101 not?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Totally. I'll just add a "." here because I'm expecting you to follow up with a photo when you're done! ;)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, 72 would work?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well... I guess? I'm definitely curious how you'll accomplish it though ;)
