Most viral edit: Many have pointed out (both here and Twitter) the label is marked “DISPLAY” which would mean that the actual toothbrush is not actually for sale at $0.01. Several people have pointed out the law this fuck refers to has a specific section stating a retailer does not need to honor a price if it is a “gross error”. It even gives specific math on it.
The GoFundMe is over $13k now. The person who started it has been updating via Twitter that they have contacted Tori and are confirming it is her. Apparently they have done things like this before and the people have gotten the money.
Lastly, a very small percentage of you are pretty happy this guy is fucking over Target, but this is this guy’s milieu. He’s done it several times before and even to small online sellers. Sadly, he seems to be one of those people that gets off on this type of negative attention. Just be kind to retail, front-line workers.
