Haven’t really exercised in about 9 years and today I ran 1km without stopping and I’m proud of this minor victory

What was chasing you?

I don't know if I've ever done this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Keep it up @op, go for 2km!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Keep going! I didn’t run for 9 years. First run did 1km and by the 4th week was at 6km. The body loves exercise, especially cardio,

I can't like this enough. Keep it up and do a 3k, then a 5k and look back at your 1k route and relish in your accomplishments! Trust me.

That's less than a mile right? So like .621 miles?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

DAMN you ran 1000 miles? Congrats!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Awesome! I was a smoker. Couldn’t run for 2 minutes. Been 4 years quit and running 45 minutes at a time. Keep going! Get good shoes too.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Awesome! Congrats on the recovery!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was me last summer. Just kept adding more distance. Didnt take long until i was up to 7km. Good one!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ran .621 freedom miles

I reckon the first k is the hardest. Once you can do that 5k is just around the corner

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was finally able to do pull ups unassisted the other day, small victories are the best

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

Congrats! It’s all about progress, you’re doing great

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I started an actual workout routine and calorie countong again

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Awesome! Drink plenty of water too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No victory is minor. Keep it going!!!

As someone who became good at running through hard work I relate to you. I started where you did and you just gotta keep up the hard work.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Not to brag but I once walked 16km in 2 hours but at the end my legs turned into stone.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you get away ?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You keep that shit up, you're doing great.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Today I cycled for 7 hours. Just like the last 5 days.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Damn. What are you training for? I did 5 yesterday and almost went crazy.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cycle courier. Its work. Im working on stopping doing it now but yeah, 7 hours a day 6 days a week. Legs like pistons.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Keep going next time you will be able to run 2km. Running has incredible fast progress :) but listen to your body dont push to hard ( ^ω^)

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don’t stop. I started like this. Did 10k a bunch of times. Then stopped for various reasons. I’m back at square 1 again, and it’s terrible.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And back? Or 500m far and 500m back? Or a circle with your house as starting point? what.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Or on a treadmill.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Breathe, buddy. It's all going to be ok.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I picked up my socks off the floor without getting winded.

Be honest. How many cramps

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did something similar, I drank a beer, then got up and walked to the fridge to get a new one.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Today I ran for 3km straight, and then another 2km gay.

Hey man, it’s all about progress. They’re taking the first steps, they’ll get there soon

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Americans trying to calculate how far you ran. v

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

What's the gif for those of us that already use metric.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Metric superiority! Don't tell em though, they'll fuck it up too.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Keep it up yo! The hardest part about running isn’t going, it’s going the next day.

8 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 1

Best thing to do is not think about it. Don't run a watch. Don't keep a hard and fast log of distance. Have fun, and don't let metrics

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ruin the fun.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m at a year of 10km+ a day, keeps me calm! 10/10 would recommend for keeping stress low

I got about 2 months into getting up and exercising/running every day before I stumbled (not literally) and stopped a week and a half later

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Quit here and there, but come back.

No, they aren't that perfect, they are shaped more like this:????

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How far is that in American..

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

.62 miles

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ha thanks. Don’t ask why I didn’t just google it..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In the future, remember that 1 meter roughly equals one yard. The meter's only 3 inches longer.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can run about half a mile then I need to walk for a while...it sucks

Yeah, my heart rate his the 175/176 mark after .3 of a mile and I'm just like fuuuuck I've gotta finish it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Keep at it! Drink around a gallon of water a day, especially before a big run. And don’t give up! It’s better to run the whole distance 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And keep a steady pace than exhaust yourself and have to give up. You can do it!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Keep at it mate! Slowly you'll build up your stamina to doing a full mile! Just need to keep on cracking at it!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I need to start running everyday instead of just when i go gym

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I run long distance sort of things, if I can give some advice, never run 2 days in a row if you can. Allow your body (and mind to rest). 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 I recommed running Tues, Thurs and Sats if you can.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Noted, I run monday wednesday and fridays seeing as thats when I'm in the gym. I'm also working on fat loss as well.
