At the Providence, RI Comic-Con My wife got to meet Sean Astin (Samwise from the Lord of the Rings series, as well as the newest season of Stranger Things, Range 15 (my personal favorite), Goonies, 50 First Dates Rudy and a bunch more) one of her favorite actors (She is a huge LoTR fan)
My wife, being the wonderful lady that she is bought a little Coast Guard pin to give him ( Since we are both Coasties, and it was Veterans day) I have to say, that he was one of the nicest guys that I have met, even though he was short on time, and his agent was trying to rush him, he talked with us for at least 5 minutes about his experiences in a couple of movies working with Coast Guard people, and let my wife put the pin on his vest.
So, if anybody else had their photo taken with him on the first night of the RI Comic-Con, you should see that pin. It is always great seeing your significant other happy, and good to know that there are some celebrities out there who are genuinely nice people.
