God grant me the serenity to not be mean to people on the internet.

I’m kind of scared of leopard seals ever since I watched eight below when I was like 5

The picture that’s kept me going for like 10 months now is pictured below

He’s my pfp and I printed him out to hang up at work and one of my coworkers gave him a mustache

I was high when I saw this and it sparked like a 3 hour long colossal squid investigation

Nessie, Gertie, and Bruce tax. https://imgur.com/gallery/memes-vol-647-creatures-2nd-edition-089YkVZ

#16 Love these guys long snippy steps and they are have no living relatives. They are neither fox nor wolf but some leggy third thing.

#27 cats that make you say “that’s not a cat, that’s the widow Sugrue, trying to impress the Lord Fitzpatrick with the strength of her boy Pony!”

#21 Honestly, he looks kinda embarrassed about it. If sharks could wear a shirt while swimming, this one would.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#28 you cannot convince me that is not a muppet. That thing belongs in the background of Labyrinth or something

#5 So metal! No, seriously these snails grow actual metal armor for protection from the heat of the hydrothermal vents they live next to. They should call them Vulcan snails.

3 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Meanwhile the first thing I was thinking was "Who's that pokemon?"

It's Magcargo!

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, you've been misled by the same meme others have seen. They precipitate iron sulphide shells, instead of calcium carbonate that molluscs typically do.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's still incredibly cool and metal as fuck. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaly-foot_gastropod

2 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree, super cool!

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope to be as chill as Nessie one day

3 days ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

She was actually pretty angry here

3 days ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Why? What did you do wrong?

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I’ll never measure up to Nessie’s standards 🫩

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's a high standard but we have to try. If not for her, just to better ourselves.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Have I ever told you how hilarious you are

#17 Sperm whales go very, very deep. They have to if they want to find their favorite delicacy, giant squid.

3 days ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Orca have been known to kill White sharks, but typically just eat the liver. They have the ability to dive very deep. I am not a reliable source. I like monkeys.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Me, too!!!!

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But big as they are, they aren't equipped to prey on something like a great white. Their jaws are very narrow, and have no teeth on the upper jaw.

3 days ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Shark got eaten by squid. Squid got eaten by whale.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, giant squid are cold-blooded, ruling them out. If the event occurred close to a spreading center like the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the heat could be explained geothermally. But one thing we don't know is, how big is the largest sperm whale in the ocean. Maybe there is one with an unchecked case of gigantism, that's big enough to swallow a great white whole. Obviously, it's either deep-sea smoker vents or a warm-blooded deep-sea-diving cetacean. Or Captain Nemo.

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Do we think it could have been a squid? My knowledge of them really only extends to my 3 hour stoner knowledge expedition

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm really not sure! The heat suggests no, because squid are cold blooded, but I'm not sure what else would fit. Maybe something killed the shark, then a bit with the tracker was eaten by something deep diving

Ok I just clicked on your profile because this is very helpful and you’re always so nice to me AND YOU DIDNT TAG ME IN YOUR SUPERMAN POST?!?! I’m so excited I’m going to look at it right now I’m buzzing with joy

3 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sorry, I'm not good at using tags. I only ever remember the most basic ones. But I hope you like the Superman post!
