Tilly the Aardvark

The aardvark (Orycteropus afer) is a nocturnal, burrowing mammal from Africa, known for its pig-like snout, rabbit-like ears, and powerful claws used to dig for its primary food: ants and termites. Despite its "earth pig" name, it's not related to pigs but is the sole surviving species in its own order, Tubulidentata, with its closest relatives being elephant shrews. Aardvarks are solitary, shy, and crucial to their ecosystems as their abandoned burrows provide shelter for many other animals.
