Meanwhile, much of Asia is rationing fuel and natural gas, and shortening work weeks to get through this, because they got nearly all their energy through the strait. This includes Egypt, Kenya, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, and South Korea. We've barely started the 2nd year of this 4-year trashfire. No sanction on Russian or Iranian oil and Chinese ships are allowed to pass freely. The strait appears to only be blocked for some specific countries (i.e. the U.S. and its allies).
