I wonder how the movement works in these. you can't actually be running this much in VR surely.

Hardcore Henry*

Gives me more of a BioShock feel

Clive Owen mother fucker over here lol

Mah, you need the one where he stabs a guy in the ass and then makes another guy drink the blood that's coming out of it.

*direct homage to Kingsman* man this is so much like Deadpool. Lol appreciate you though, boo

Made me think of Crank

Fantastic film.

Would love to see a live action version of this but it has to keep the video game physics. Be just as wonky.

HOW HARD WOULD IT BE FOR YOU TO POST THE FUCKIN NAME OF THE GAME, OP?!

Hard Bullet, its a pretty gorey vr shooter thingy on steam.

1 year ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

well shit. I have this game in my inventory but never played it.. brb

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

dear god... motion sickness...

John wick military edition

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't really see this as much of a flex as OP might think it is...
Yeah, the freedom of movement is pretty slick, but, hey, that's bloody VR.
Most of what we do see, is how dumb and non-interactive the AI actually is. It's cool you can pick shit from their hands, but they're just standing like a bunch of moops not doing shit.

The point of VR is immersion, and if what you can interact with acts like a puppet on loose strings, things break apart pretty fast.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Yeah put some ai from the old half life on that map and you would have flying grenades and bullets everywhere. Running in to get killed NPC's really is not entertaining.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah... at first glance it looks really impressive, until you realise the AI is just standing there any barely does anything.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The movement and coordination is decently impressive... for about 15 seconds. Realizing every guard but 1 is totally unarmed does a lot to dispel the illusion of challenge. Granted if they were armed, and actually fired their guns at all, he'd have to actually think about the very non-action hero notion of taking cover and considering the tactical viability of his position.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Reminded me of when they started modding Blade and Sorcery. The AI is usually terrible.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like how none of the AI attacks in any way and just waits to be killed.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Just like in most action movies.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The one where he received a sword through the groin and then was thrown down the staircase felt personal

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Getting speared in the face by the Groingorer immediately afterward feels worse.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of an indie game idea I had - a John Wick simulator where you're running around a bunch of empty corridors, but each time you shoot your gun a bad guy improbably jumps through a door or window, just in time to be in your crosshairs when the firing animation finishes. So no matter how randomly you aim it's impossible to not hit a bad guy.

Great idea for a game jam. It would work perfectly for a very short game with some ridiculous story tacked on so it doesn't overstay its welcome.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My idea for you is make it intentionally hilarious, but the actual game is an 'action puzzler' because you have to utilize these animations to get through levels, using the bad guys predictable animations to trigger other things. At the boss of each level, you can't kill the boss because of the minions basically body-blocking until you solve how to open up their weakness or stop the minion flow. Then you defeat the boss with a quick time event that cannot fail.

a john wick simulator? now i imagine a ragdolly , ballet of death choreography sim, where you plan perfect death ahead of time

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s actually some sort of John wick like beat game. Think beat sabers but with guns. Or guitar hero…but with guns

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love the idea... I can imagine shooting out an open window, and bad guys keep falling from the sky into your bullets.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of super hot! This would be so much fun

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The John Wick game we actually got is ass. I woulda expected something more third-person shooter oriented, or perhaps something similar to Hotline Miami.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That is hilarious. I'm not sure how you would make it into a full-scale game, but I could see it working for a 15-30 minute experience. Actually, scratch that first half; I'm sure there has to be SOME way to make it work for a 3-4 hour game.

1 year ago | Likes 78 Dislikes 2

I mean, I played PAIN for a week straight and it's a single level where you shoot a dude out of a slingshot at random shit

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The game is you have to figure out how to NOT kill certain people.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some ideas!
-limit the number of bullets
-Have levels provide a series of obstacles, doorways, corridors, improvised environmental weapons, and get style points for kills, or points for absurdity, or a different scale, one for Max Points, one for Hilarious deaths.
-different levels have different weapons
-To make it easy on the gamer and the dev, it could be track-based, so the player only controls aiming, kind of like those Time Crisis arcade cabinets.
-Funny Slo-Mo death animations

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea. Ton of polish on movement and animation goes a long way

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

part of the reason why Sifu is better than so many AAA titles I've played. Art, music, animation, lovingly crafted homages and set pieces.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the goal of the game is now to miss a shot without killing someone

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eh, 15-30 minute experiences are also "games", and many of them are more satisfying than multi-hour slogs that were stretched needlessly.

1 year ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Superhot kind of action but in real time. Looks fun

But lmao the only guard who had a gun decided to not shoot it. Very nice of him

1 year ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

The game “I am your beast” is exactly this if you’re looking for that vibe

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe the game has a slo-mo mechanic, so this may not actually be real time playback of gameplay.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah tons of military guards, no one is shooting, just running at the gunning guy 2/10 tbh

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I was thinking it's very polite of these guys to line up and attack in single file. Reminds me of my team mates in Overwatch.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Not a single one of them attacks in any way. They all run in and then wait to be killed.

they don't punch don't kick, don't fire a gun. The game is programed to give you baddies to kill, not a challenge.

1 year ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

What game?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Eh I'd be bored within 5 minutes, but to each their own I guess.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

There's an awkward attempt at a punch right at the end... But you're right. Nothing but punching bags

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Seems kinda easy to be a badass against a bunch of unarmed dum-dums

1 year ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It'd be more fun if they had on Nazi uniforms.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not a single one attacks. They walk straight up to the player and wait to die.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Inspired by The Kingsman. Song is also the same

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Good catch. I only watched mute.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

thanks dude. i watched muted at first. sound made it way better. I fckin loved that kingsman scene

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Underrated movies and the second one doesn't suck, I will hear no such talk. Third was not the greatest choice in the world, abandoning the established characters for a prequel. But still very watchable. 1/2

Remember kids, it's Watchmen rules. There's no "The." :)

Always nice hearing him let his accent shine, and the traditional local greeting is a perfect moment to end.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I spared the rest of the scene since some don't like violence or.... yknow. If anybody doesn't like explosions don't look at this part. Merlin went out with a bang and I know people on imgur don't always want to get sprung with the bang.

Well that's literally the dual staircase from Matrix Reloaded

1 year ago | Likes 301 Dislikes 1

The move one did not have the statue in the middle and the bottom floor was closed off with weapons linning the wall. This is only similar in the circular design. The movie one was also pure white.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm glad I wasn't the only one

1 year ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

I asked if this was a matrix game because of the stairsXD

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

If by matrix reloaded you mean Casanova Frankenstein's mansion then yes

Yup. I knew it immediately

At least it seems to still be worked on and not abandoned.

This. It's had some major updates. Better than a lot of dead games.
