Well now she's back! This time allowing inmate James Roeder to not only see his 1 month old baby for the first time, but to hold and kiss him as well.

We need more judges in this country w/ basic human decency. Yeah, these people are in court but that doesn't mean they aren't human.

More of them out there than you'd expect. Many judges are just as frustrated about mandatory minimums, e.g., as are the defendants.

Judge allowed my brother in law to stay out of jail temporarily til my nephew was born. After spent about 3 months in jail, then was 1/2

Maybe. If a person can show that they're a solid contributor to a child's welfare a lighter sentence should be considered. Think long-term.

Dont know, simply know she was a first time offender and it was shoplifting. 70 days seems excessive to me no matter what was stolen.
