Chookie had to have her butt feathers trimmed as she has been diagnosed with cancer and has become a mostly indoor chicken for treatment. She wears a chicken nappy in the house, but with long butt feathers, they get dirty often with poop. Trimming her feathers will help that.

She was showing signs of serious illness so we went to the vet and had an xray done. It showed a huge mass inside of her.

I then took her to another chicken vet for a second opinion, who did an ultrasound and confirmed it was ovarian cancer
