I wonder if it's deaf though? Deafness is really common in white cats, especially with blue eyes or just one blue eye.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

it's probably only half deaf

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

but just on the sides.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

we were told that about our cats too but they turned out fine. I think it might have been bred out of turkish angoras.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's something all solid white cats are prone to,more so than other cats. Glad your angoras are fine though!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

its because angoras were the only solid white cats for awhile and the few they stole from turkey had those issues so it shows in white cats

I see animals with heterochromia all the time, but never people. I wonder why that is

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

people can have it but idk if you look at every person's eyes whenever you see a large group

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Animals don't have weird religions that used to tell people deformities were a sign of evil.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Shit I didn't consider that, good point...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can he/she see normally?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think it would affect anything other then eye color

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why wouldn't it be able to?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

very common for white cats with blue eyes to be blind

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Standard heterochromia (one blue, one brown/hazel/other) they're usually blind in the blue eye

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought that was just deafness, didn't know both would happen

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is so fucking cool! There has to be a medical term for that. Does anyone know?

8 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 0

It's called albino.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 10

Heterochromia, my wife has it. Her eyes are brown/green in starburst pattern. Very sexy imo.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Blindness.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 6

CGI :D

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

According to the Chromeria, this would be a non-contiguous bi-chromat drafter.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 9

I believe the technical term is "so fucking cool." I might need to look that up, though.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Looks like heterochromia. Which I guess would translate "different coloring"

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I feel like u knew how to find this out , but just wanted to make someone else feel smart and special. The world needs more people like you.

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

Yes its called PhotoShoptistus

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Heterochromia...a groovy mutation!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"caused by lack of genetic diversity" that sounds like a fancy way to say "someone fucked their sister"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I believe David Bowie had it? Not entirely sure..

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is interesting because normally with heterochromia the side with the blue eye has a deaf ear so I wonder what the deal is here?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Partial hearing in both ears, maybe

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4) so they're expected to be deaf and aren't. A friend's little mraowr is like that. 'All' white, blue eyes, hears just fine. As for

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2) A good number of 'white' cats with blue eyes do express pigment in places that don't exhibit the white spotting gene (which all white

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3) cats basically switch on so early in development that other colour genes are not output) so completely, like anogenital and paw pad areas

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

1) I understood that a prerequsite for deafness in white cats is no pigment anywhere else, and expression of another iris colour is pigment

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5) sectoral heterochromia, there's expression of pigment, which should overrule the lack of proper auditory bone formation

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cheers man very helpful :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No worries. That's what i'm here for :-)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This syndrome is called Photoshop kappa

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

In all seriousness, is it shopped?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

two or more colours in the same iris is called sectoral heterochromia, specifically

8 years ago | Likes 203 Dislikes 1

.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a different kind of heterochromia. Don't remember what it's called but http://imgur.com/TWjXNPT

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or "radial". I have radial heterochromia with weird yellow freckles. flecks. fuckles. I don't know what the term for them is. Flurckles?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does sectoral heterochromia exists in humans too (since heterochromia does)?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes. I had a classmate in high school that had it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have sectoral heterochromia (both eyes:brown/green). When I'm really tired, the brown almost disappears. my sex life is still average tho
