Yay, they want to ban something they have no idea what it is. Ignorance in today’s GOP.

I've been told i have to be angry about it but i don't know why....but i'm not a sheep.

They are so fucking stupid

These people should have their kids taken away.

He knows what those words mean to him. And he’s right, THAT shouldn’t be taught in schools.

If only these two had access to birth control. He probably dosen't even know how his sister got pregnant or why he's the father.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just about sums it up. They hate what they don't even know. Not much has changed.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is why I'm starting to doubt if democracy really works. People can be brainwashed so easily to believe something they don't understand.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

like anything if ignorance is cultivated and encouraged it will fail.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Republicans universally deny systemic racism exists. Which itself is a very racist position to take, as it means they think black people

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

find themselves in a lower socioeconomic position purely through inherent inferiority. Aka - white supremacy.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

sounds about right

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

Someone came along and downvoted y'all. So I upvoted every comment

3 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 8

Can someone explain how you can see the upvote/downvote stats?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We have a saying in Germany: "Was der Bauer nicht kennt, frisst er nicht".

The GQP: "If we don't understand it, we either shoot it or ban it."

3 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 3

So how did the rest of the conversation go?

jerbs!

Parent: Don't you go teaching my kids 'bout none of that evulootin' nonsense. Me: oh, I don't! I only explain how genetic drift, gene -

I think the worst part is they don't see the problem. They will never stop and think about why they hate something they know nothing about

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

When I asked my dad, a very aggressive R, what CRT was he said "it's like the new Hitler Youth." When I asked him to explain he told me "if

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I have to explain it to you you're too dumb to understand what's really going on." So that was fun....

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Laugh all you want, these two will happily see any black or LGBT kids killed.

3 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 8

And vote for Trump… again.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You kidding? They’re happy to see white Christian kids killed too if the killer uses a gun to do it.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

If only he as taught it in school!

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Hey now. CRT TVs are still great for retro games!

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

I had a 35 inch crt tv I got from a garage sale. It had component video and svideo. Metroid Prime looked great on it. PS2 as well.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

One of the things CRT screens have over LCD screens - sharp picture at every resolution.

If you don't know what something is, instead of banning it, learn what it is first. Then maybe, you will see it nothing to worry about.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Yeah, we don't do that here.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Isn't CRT just the idea that there is an inherent racist bias is society and that its bad? So why shouldn't we teach that?

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

No, it's a far more in depth study of how race shaped history and society. It is a college course and not offered at lower levels 1/2

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

because of how complex it is to understand properly. The problem is it became a dog whistle like how "defund the police" did.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

CRT started as college level theory on how minorities are treated with inequality in our legal system. Not something a child would ever see.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Republicans bastardized the term, skewing it as they went, and now its become a clusterfuck. All bc they don't want people to know about /

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

marriage, gen law, and voting inequality, segregation, slavery, lynching... White people did bad shit, and don't want their kids to know.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

In short, no, there isn't anything wrong about CRT being taught to kids. But it really isn't lol. Teaching historical facts isn't the same.

CRT doesn't plant race differences. It explores how races can be given inequity in law, rights and general governance, and how that's wrong.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Wtf do kids have to do with that? It point out the differences between "races". Great seed for tribalism.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 16

Learning about how tribalism has impacted the past and current doesnt create tribalism; it creates educated people who will prevent it

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

That is really important but why base it on "race"?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 11

"I don't know, but I'm angry about it," should be the Republican slogan.

3 years ago | Likes 1339 Dislikes 10

As my dad says, people who watch Fox News don’t know what they’re talking about, but they have very strong opinions about it.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In 2017 a former coworker said that about net neutrality :P

Good one but they went with this instead:

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As I always say, they can't even define socialism, let alone state why it's bad.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

"I have no idea what this is, but Fox News told me to hate it," would be the longer version.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

That show is so damn mid ... but it has a few rare nuggets of greatness.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah? I feel like Reagan and the overall plot/episodes are up there. But the side characters are D tier at best.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It mostly feels like they are trying to copy Rick and Morty, without fully understanding what makes that show work.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because Fox news/GOP/etc. Told me to be angry about it

3 years ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 1

Exactly, seen it in person, they don’t know what to say, and they get mad about that too. Also everything you say is wrong no matter what.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

... because you have been brain washed by the liberal media. /s

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

If your child is learning CRT, congratulations, they're in law school...

3 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 1

I've heard it could be pretty useful if you want to be a Nascar driver or F1 pilot.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I dunno, I encountered in my “social psychology from sociology’s perspective” class at GVSU very briefly. So could be a junior in college

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

In psychology with a social psychology/research concentration. But yeah, that’s still at least a junior level class.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I can see how it can be introd on in SOC classes, but originally was developed to determine how race affected how people were treated in law

They don't know what anything actually is, they are only told what buzzwords to be afraid of. Once you break it down, their minds shatter.

I love this guy doing the interview - didnt he join an anti-abortion rally to troll the protestors

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

He rocked up and joined them and started yelling I hate women, right guys, right?

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Excellent. But the word “seize” is pejorative. Think of a king or queen yelling, “Seize them!”. Rephrasing that phrase may be less incendiar

Crazy how they know so little about what they supposedly hate.

I mean, if you learn about stuff, you aren't afraid of it, so you don't hate it. Ignorance is an important ingredient for hate.
